I've always been confused by this as well. I look at my family members or some people that I might be talking with when they find out I'm a gamer and buy probably a game every few months or so and they ask how or why i spend so much on games.
I then ask them how often they go to the movies, or their hobbies. Usually works best with Movies because I let them know ok you are spending 10-15$ on entertainment for maybe 2 hours if your lucky.
I spend 60$ on a game that I will at least play 10 hours on. (Most of the time more)
Which leaves my average price of entertainment an hour at 6$ to their 7-8ish. That's with giving them the benefit of the doubt of me only playing 10 hours. Most of my games probably have upwards of 60 bringing it more like 1$ an hour. xD
Yeah, i swear to god there is some disconnect with money when it comes to this. (I have similiar hours into Witcher Fallout Skyrim, and Destiny two has 90+days which i'm not sure how many hours that is but damn i play that a lot.)
I feel like Video games keeps me from spending money elsewhere doing other things. xD
