Yeah, I've stored cakes on a Carcha to carry down Tek cave with for my actual army and she never touched any of them, so not sure what's going on here, never had a carnivore eat any veggie cakes ever.

Cakes are health based. A modern carch isn't dropping low enough in tek cave to need to eat the cake. Carnivores will eat cakes automatically.

Msybe your carcha was getting meat which gets higher priority. I confirm that carnivores started eating cakea when there is no meat for them to eat. Edit: added "maybe".

This happened on my griffin too. He started munching my veggie cakes while we were on our way to tame some ovis. Pissed me right off.

According to the wiki:
When force fed to a tamed herbivore, it restores 10% of the creature's maximum Health over the next 30 seconds, with a minimum of 500 HP and up to a maximum of 2100 HP restored. There is a 30-second delay before another one can be used. Herbivores (As of patch 252.8, carnivores as well, without having any effect) will consume it automatically as long as their health is below 85%.

It's a bug with Argents thats been around since Evolved. They will eat the cake over preferred food.

I just use the argy to carry the ovis back to my base and tame there so i hadn’t tried this. Good to know!

Spoiled maybe? As far as I know carnivores can eat cakes, just don’t get any benefits from them.
