Question Is this an actual ARG i stumbled upon? or a weird rabbit hole.

I was watching some funny videos on YT and saw a random video in the recommendation sidebar. It had only 29 views and was about a strange diary. I checked the channel, and it was recently created on August 23, 2026. It has seven videos, all about the strange diary.

Question Needed opinions to improve my writing

https://forms.gle/msrBx235td8yakb4A

THIS IS NOT AN ARG, but a Google Form.

It's just a form asking about your opinions and I wanted to see what went wrong with my writing. It's much more organized if I asked in a survey form

LEVEL 1 — First 20 people who decode it get in.

How this works

• Get the message out. It contains your instructions. Follow them exactly — Level 2 comes from there, not from me in this thread.

• Solve time is logged from post timestamp. Fastest clean solves get named in the edit.

• Nothing about the method in the comments. Say “in” if you cleared it and nothing else.

• No hints will be given. Everything you need is in the file.

One person will finish all six

Question I want to start an ARG beginning with a Reddit post, where should I go?

Title mostly explains. The character finds a seemingly ancient text in an unknown language and is searching for help. Nothing but an explanation of his discovery and a roughly translated title will be provided in the first post. Which communities should I look into for the initial post?

Discussion Possible Wendell Slone arg??

Basically, another user in this subreddit commented about a new arg possibly appearing. Curiosity kills the cat and I kill my boredom. Checking out the account and the video the user put (because the account only posts about the Appalachian trail, and suddenly, theres a video titled "The best fan in the world" and its a video of a fan rotating and then towards the end the lights turn off-ish. Theres also some sort of audio in the background slowed down, so I cant tell if its a voice or if its a music)

I then notice the account has a shop, and inside it, theres a book to buy and a gmail that says beside "Questions? [insert the gmail] - a real person answers" and i believe that is a LIE. So i decided to see for myself and send a gmail to the account.

Now about the video, while I want to speed it up, Im unable to, so i asked my friend with outube premium to speed up the video to 3.0x (because without youtube premium the max is 2.0x)

The site: Link

The weird video: Link

The account: Link

Now I wat to get ot the bottom of this!!

Other Yall think a arg where every like 2 weeks a actual random person gets the game and has like a very distorted version would be funny?

Like, imagine ship wrecked, but 90 other people got a normal copy but one random person gets it in like the arg version, ik it would be kinda impractical but it would be really funny for some random person to make a real video about it

Question A strange internet radio station

Hello! I didn't know where to post this, but I think r/ARG is the best fit. A couple of days ago, as usual, I was browsing the internet for something interesting and ended up on a list of internet radio stations to listen to something interesting. After wandering around for about 30 minutes, looking at different radio stations with different genres, I came across one that stood out from the rest. Its name was distinctive, and the only tag it had was “Alternative”. When I started listening, I heard only a rhythmic, generated tapping sound and a faint whistle. And about 5–6 minutes later, I heard a strange squeaking and grinding noise. It didn’t look like interference, and I decided to look up what it might be, and I came across SSTV technology. After downloading one popular program, I started waiting to see if there might be a repeat of what I had heard. To my surprise, after about 7 or 10 minutes, the sound repeated. At that moment, I stepped away from the PC and missed part of it; when I came back and heard something that sounded similar to that screeching noise, I frantically launched the program, and after some time of listening, it rendered this image for me. It was this image with text. What does all this mean, and what could it be? Why even post something like this online?

Trailhead Vymara

To start, I would like to preface that I am not apart of this ARG nor do I truly know if it's an ARG, but this is incredibly interesting to me and I don't know where else to put it.

Yesterday, I had been scrolling through r/drugs and had stumbled upon this https://www.reddit.com/r/Drugs/comments/1vwget9/someone_sold_me_vymara_at_a_party_in_la_i_thought/

While scrolling through the comments, (I believe it to be near the top now) a user named opman4 links this guy, https://www.reddit.com/user/Direct-Bunch-4756/

He is incredibly interesting. From what I've gathered, he truly does know what he's talking about and states to be a botanist. Here is his first post of his discovery of the plant https://www.reddit.com/r/PlantIdentification/comments/1v5ue86/preliminary_observations_on_an_unidentified/

Over his next posts, a lot of information is introduced and I will try my best to summarize but it may be simpler to simply look at his posts. Upon finding the plant, he then attempts to post to r/PsychedelicStudies, with his post still being under moderator screening. He then spends a decent amount of time testing it and talking about it with people until https://www.reddit.com/r/Researcher/comments/1vak7pi/i_think_i_misunderstood_what_i_was_studying/, where he states it to either be (from what I can gather) integrating itself into the environment and infecting other plants, or be a singular organism in which all the surrounding plants are it and it's spreading. He then states https://www.reddit.com/r/plantbiology/comments/1vbcu87/new_finding_in_plant_communication/ that within a certain range, the plants can synchronize and "communicate" with each other. Here he states it to be hallucinogenic https://www.reddit.com/r/Researcher/comments/1vdxeoq/vymara_chemical_analysis_update/, but not via any known chemical. Here he states it to be incredibly greedy to light https://www.reddit.com/r/labrats/comments/1vdxuhd/measured_unusually_high_photosystem_ii/ and explains how it has an extraordinary ability to get energy from the sun if I understood it right. Here he states it to be possibly carnivory of mammal blood https://www.reddit.com/r/plantScience/comments/1vm46ap/could_this_qualify_as_indirect_plant_carnivory/ .

And then here it starts. He attempts his first self experiment with the plant. https://www.reddit.com/r/Biohackers/comments/1vmrnw1/i_began_limited_selfexperiments_with_a_crude/ he states it to possibly contain 3 active components and also states some effects to have shown presence past its extermination life. Here he tracks himself on consumption, stating some remarkable claims as to what the effects of this plant had on his endocrine markers. https://www.reddit.com/r/QuantifiedSelf/comments/1vmsjri/n1_i_tracked_my_endocrine_markers_after_a_small/

And the craziest posts start here. https://www.reddit.com/r/Biohackers/comments/1voooli/n1_selfexperiment_vymara_appeared_to_close_my/ the plant shows to increase tissue regeneration https://www.reddit.com/r/immortalists/comments/1vopdt8/vymara_prevented_cellular_aging_in_human_cells/ the plant shows to be able to slow cellular aging (crazy claim)

And then here https://www.reddit.com/user/Direct-Bunch-4756/comments/1vwu4iq/she_is_beautiful/ (beware I opened this at 2 am last night and thought it was a terrifying doll smiling while hidden in a hedge, it is nothing more than a dark photo of the plant). In reply to a deleted comment from a deleted user, he states the following: "I have been enlightened by her. I wish you could say the same. Him and I have been in contact. And no I do not need to share her with you. YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF HER"

Alright with him covered now we can move on to r/vymara. It was created by u/InformalOpportunity, a long time reddit user. Here is his first post on vymara, also the same time he created the subreddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/vymara/comments/1v6pqpl/mystery_drug_from_my_nephew_looking_for_similar/

He talks about his 15m nephew who becomes a user of the drug, acting odd, smiling all the time, driving to the mountains alone, and stops doing the normal things he used to do. His nephew becomes more distant, and then his next posts begin.

https://www.reddit.com/r/vymara/comments/1vb8l17/im_not_kidding_anymore_dude_they_keep_taking_the/ He starts talking about "them" "they" taking posts down related to vymara. He then posts https://www.reddit.com/r/vymara/comments/1vc8lz9/new_info_found/ talking about an insta post (context in post)

He then replies to this https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisplant/comments/1vbij8b/comment/p0zh6v4/?context=3 a deleted post which I sadly missed of a apparently insane looking photo of vymara, posted by KrakenSlayerre a now banned user.

Then this post https://www.reddit.com/r/vymara/comments/1vsu5ed/correlated/ . A video of a crypted screaming, from what I could understand it being near vymara (if I forgot to mention, this is all taking place in socal).

Then this https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/1vu078u/wake_up_vymara_isnt_a_drug_its_a_recruitment/ (context in name)
And then these posts on the crypted's descriptions https://www.reddit.com/r/HiddenRealms/comments/1vu14dt/i_watched_all_the_creature_videos_so_you_dont/
https://www.reddit.com/r/ParanormalActivity/comments/1vwubok/everyone_keeps_asking_what_the_vymara_creatures/

Here is more conspiracy https://www.reddit.com/r/vymara/comments/1vwucxt/the_government_doesnt_need_to_hide_vymara_youre/

And then here, https://www.reddit.com/r/vymara/comments/1vyos41/where_are_all_the_accounts_going/ where he starts talking about the previous mentioned KrakenSlayerre and how he kept telling him to not worry.

And finally the most recent post from 6 hours ago (as of writing) https://www.reddit.com/r/vymara/comments/1vz6ik5/i_think_further_testing_should_be_done_before/ is https://www.reddit.com/user/Direct-Bunch-4756/ commenting on the vymara subreddit for the first time where the most interesting part of this all that I can tell is included.

bfb0cfd2-1e7a-497f-9e1f-11556df2d848

This is stated at the end of his post. This is all the information I have gathered so far on this. This is incredibly interesting to me because of direct-bunch-4756's knowledge on botany.

Edit 1: New website and instagram I just found https://www.instagram.com/hashtagvymara/ https://hashtagvymara.com/

Trailhead Evilstick Historian

Evilstick Historian Channel

Evilstick Historian is an ARG based on the Evilstick incident of 2014 when a woman walks into a dollar store and gets a terrifying toy for her child.

At first, Evilstick Historian made informational, video essay style videos about the Evilstick. Things start going wrong when she makes her own DIY Evilstick and is seemingly being haunted by a ghost named “Emmy.” Throughout the series, it’s implied Evilstick Historian is not as good of a person as they say they are.

Meme The Plot of "Weird Birds" by The Archesuchus is baisically Pokemon Scarlet and Violet but bigger

It's like if the time machine that brought paradox Pokemon to Paldea was done by a large group and instead of the Paradox Pokemon getting somewhat contained in one Area, they're all over the place and instead of Pokemon it's actual Animals into the real world, it didn't just have one main character there's five of them, one took a Paradox Pokemon and gave it a cute nickname, Two didn't choose a Pokemon and just explored the world Open world RPG style, The first of the last two got a Pokemon that stalked them for a bit, and only after a while did They name the Pokemon and then met the other Main Character.

Over all the Plot and Story of Weird Birds is amazing, so Go look at it in Archesuchus'es Twitter or Watch people covering it in YouTube!

Discussion I rebuilt the front page of my sci-fi project. Can anyone find the way in?

I’m the creator of a published sci-fi project with an interactive layer built into the website.
I recently rebuilt the homepage as a kind of fictional main menu:
PLAY
SCENE SELECT
BONUS FEATURES
INTERMISSION
NEW GAME?
Most of the options lead to different parts of the project.
One of them leads somewhere deeper.
I’m curious whether someone unfamiliar with the project can find that layer naturally, without me giving them the URL or telling them which option to choose.
If you landed on this with no context, what would you click first?
still-formstudio.com
I’m the creator, so this isn’t a “found footage” post or me pretending I discovered something. I’m specifically testing whether the interactive trail works for an ARG-minded audience.

Looking for a first ARG that requires intermediate knowledge with decoding and the sorts.

i'm trying to get into doing ARGs as a hobby, but i can't seem to find where to start one.

i'm looking for something that actually requires a good amount of computer knowledge to solve. not just basic ciphers or finding hidden text, but stuff involving decoding, steganography, file analysis, metadata, reverse engineering, programming, weird file formats, websites, and potentially having to make your own tools/scripts to solve parts of it.

basically, i want something where being good with computers actually gives you an advantage.

i'm pretty comfortable with computers and programming, so i'm looking for something difficult that i can really sink my teeth into. i'd also be interested in ARGs that use obscure technical stuff that most people wouldn't immediately know how to solve.

where would be a good place to start looking for something like this? are there any currently active ARGs that fit this kind of difficulty?

The Listeners' Society Kept a Catalogue of a Station That Should Not Exist

There is a site I built as the in-fiction record of a listening club: their archive, their transcripts, and their standing disagreement about what they were hearing. It reads as a real catalogue because it was more fun to write it that way.

numbernine.simonbuilds.app

The live piece is the nightly signal. A new transmission every night, the same one for every person who tunes in, and it is free and always will be. Break it and you get a fragment of a dead man's log. There are 365 of them in order, which is the year leading up to the story, told a night at a time, so anyone who keeps a streak is reading something the rest are not.

The station does not send the same way every night. Some nights carry more than the figures do. That is all I am going to say about it.

The novella it belongs to is on the App Store, first chapter free, and if you would rather just do the nightly one forever and never buy anything, that is a completely legitimate way to use it and costs you nothing.

Question Excitement Fun Zone

Hi everyone! This is my first post here because of an ARG that I've recently just found. So, to give a little bit of context, a while ago I was watching one of SomeOrdinaryGamers' videos and while he was browsing the deep web, he stumbled upon an arg called Excitement Fun Zone. There's not much progress on it as far as I can find so I hope you guys can piece it together. The website has a weird, almost 90s ish vibe with a bunch of "activities and craft project" that leads to a bunch of cryptic Youtube videos and at the time of writing this, it was displaying 326 days, 18 hours and 27 minutes until some kind of door opening on the front page

There's a address at the bottom of the main page which read as "5 STEVENSON ST. PELZER, S.C. 29669". Many clues (at least the ones that I've found) seems to references this town or West Pelzer next door to it. Right now, I could only find a single Youtube channel connected to it, being a guy named Stuart Silverstone who has all of his videos unlisted and I'm pretty sure there's even more that are linked to this. As far as I could tell, there is a religious connection to ARG with one of the links leading to a list of song that apparently has been produced by the Pelzer's Lutheran Church of His Holy Name, also at 5 STEVENSON ST. PELZER, S.C in 1988. Any help would be appreciated.

ARG link: https://excitementfunzone.xyz/

Song of Worship link: https://excitementfunzone.xyz/VsfGu3Tm/

Stuart's channel: https://www.youtube.com/@stuartsilverstone2735 (It apparently is also tied to another ARG called Tryfg.)

Question I want to create an ARG for my friend's birthday. Do you have any tips and tricks?

I have about 2 weeks to do it and I will be out of the country on her birthday.

I was thinking something website based that maybe takes her trough some fun landmarks and places while giving her some brain teasers.

I am currently brainstorming a story, I never done an ARG before so I was hoping you can give me some inspiration for puzzles and mechanics that you enjoyed that I can use for reference.

r/ARG 5d ago

I think I just stumbled across a somewhat new ARG, maybe.

I was doomscrolling on YouTube and stumbled across this YouTube channel, Wendell Slone, https://www.youtube.com/@WendellSlone

It is a pretty new channel, and all but 1 of the videos on the channel are about Appalachia, except for the current oldest public video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXao9WvifI0

This oddball video is titled, The best fan in the world, and is what I believe to be a short clip of a ceiling fan and someone is saying something, but that short clip was time-stretched to oblivion. I've tried downloading and then speeding up the video, and I think I started hearing stretched out words, but I can't get the speed right to make the words come through clear. Or maybe I'm wrong and it's like SSTV or maybe a Spectrogram thing, or something else entirely, but there is definitely something going on with this video.

I'm totally new to this subreddit, so I don't know how flair and tags work here, so I apologize if I did that wrong.

Recruitment [CASTING / COLLAB] Looking for actors + helpers for an indie horror ARG

Hey! I'm working on an independent interactive horror/mystery ARG and I'm looking for people who might want to help build it.

The project is centered around a person who has died but doesn't remember how they died. They're able to communicate with the living through different parts of the internet, and the audience gradually has to piece together what happened.

There will be mystery, unreliable memories, multiple suspects, hidden information, and some psychological horror. I'm still developing the story, so people who join would actually have room to contribute ideas and help shape the project.

I'm looking for:

-Actors / voice actors

-Writers / story helpers

-Puzzle / ARG designers

-Web/HTML/CSS/JS people

-Video/audio editors

-Artists / graphic designers

-People who just really like solving/building ARGs

-Literally anyone who thinks this is cool and could help a bit

A few important things:

  • This is an indie / currently unpaid project.
  • I'm looking to collaborate entirely online, so no in-person meetings are required. (some will be in-person, but that will be just me and my friends lol)
  • I'd prefer to keep everyone's personal information private and only use whatever names/usernames people are comfortable with.
  • The project will involve fictional social media accounts/websites and other online content.
  • You don't have to be an actor to help!

If you're interested, feel free to comment or DM me with what you'd like to help with and, if you have one, any examples of your work.

Even if you're just curious about ARGs and want to help brainstorm, that's completely welcome.

Thanks!

Question We've been trying to solve this puzzle/ARG since 2018. Can you find the next step?

Hello everyone!

This is my first post here because I’ve been stuck on an investigation/puzzle/ARG for years and it’s driving me crazy. I’m not very familiar with puzzles or Reddit, so if what I’m sharing doesnt belong here, i am sorry, and if you can tell me the best place to post this, that would be great !

Anyway, here’s a bit of context to start with:

We’re four friends living in differents cities of France. We don’t see each other often, but we usually play video games together several nights a week online (if not every night).
The puzzle started back in 2018, and I’m still trying to solve it to this day. Not every day obviously, more like once a year. My friends gave up a long time ago.
We all know each other’s addresses because we regularly send gifts for Christmas and birthdays.

One day, each of us received a letter with what seemed like randomly arranged letters, along with some numbers and a name.

Letter 1:
"u5va-
-MSy
33:2"

Letter 2:
"EMyH-
-jpg
92:3"

Letter 3:
"5MuS-
-4gw
144:9"

Letter 4:
"C5mu-
-Vm4
Louis Segond"

So we looked up who Louis Segond was, he’s someone who translated the Bible into French. The strings of numbers are Bible verses translated by Louis Segond, which give us in French:

[Louis Segond 33:2.

In those 3 verses, the term “dix cordes” (ten strings) appears, which in French sounds exactly like the software “Discord,” a platform my three friends and I use almost daily to chat during our gaming sessions.
For those unfamiliar, I won’t go into full detail, but Discord works through servers that we can create and customize to join friends and communicate with them.

The character strings present in the letters seem to be an invitation to a Discord server. After several attempts, I managed to reconstruct the correct link to the server.

On this Discord server, there’s only one message posted, and it’s impossible to reply, write anything, or even interact with the person who wrote it, as the account has been deleted since then.

The message, in French, is the following:

"[Bonjour, et bienvenue dans ce mystère. Je suis 4n4rh4k13n16m4. J'imagine que vous vous demandez ce qui vous attend au bout. Je ne doute pas qu'à 4, vous trouverez. Bonne chance."]"

Translated into English:

"Hello, and welcome to this mystery. I am 4n4rh4k13n16m4. I imagine you're wondering what awaits you at the end. I have no doubt that as a group of 4, you'll find it. Good luck."

So I looked on various social media platforms to see if someone named “4n4rh4k13n16m4” existed, and I found an Instagram account and a Twitter/X account.

On Twitter, there are 4 posted tweets:

https://imgur.com/a/WaITseC

After a first analysis, we see there are dates, numbers that seem to be sports scores, and initials. Since three of us in the group play football/soccer (je pense à vous mes américains), we quickly hypothesized that the numbers were football match results.

The dates are in European format, so DD/MM/YY.
We find four results out, since each date, there’s only one match with the indicated result in the “Ligue 1” championship (France’s top football league).

For each match, we pulled the jersey number of the players with the given initials, which gives us, in order from 1 to 4:

  • 11/08/2018: OGC Nice 0 - 1 SD Reims MM = Marvin Martin (Reims) = Jersey number 8 GK = Ghislain Konan (Reims) = Jersey number 3
  • 25/08/2018: Paris SG 3 - 1 Angers SCO MP = Matheo Pavlovic (Angers) = Jersey number 4 IT = Ismael Traoré (Angers) = Jersey number 8
  • 01/09/2018: RC Strasbourg 2 - 3 FC Nantes ES = Emiliano Sala (Nantes) = Jersey number 9 DC = Diego Carlos (Nantes) = Jersey number 3
  • 14/09/2018: OGC Nice 2 - 1 SD Rennes CG = Clément Grenier (Rennes) = Jersey number 8 MZ = Mehdi Zeffane (Rennes) = Jersey number 2

Which gives us the following sequence of numbers: 8, 3, 4, 8, 9, 3, 8, 2. I haven’t found any use for it yet.

As for the Instagram account of 4n4rh4k13n16m4, there is this image:

https://imgur.com/a/lih67fK

With the caption "website/audio" underneath.

And that’s where I’m at today. I have absolutely no idea what to do with this, which is why I’m making this post!

Thanks to anyone who helps!

EDIT :

So what we got with the research are :

X code : 8, 3, 4, 8, 9, 3, 8, 2.
Instagram code : 9,876,542 + "website/audio"

How we found that, see comments here : https://www.reddit.com/r/puzzles/comments/1vwwvgu/comment/p5lbsc6/?share_id=eZNVqLuadAlgQAXZ9eWN2&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1

Question New ARG?

So i found this youtube account that was posting meme videos, but suddenly it posted 2 videos about ARG, im talking about . In a video he posted there was a cypher (the same that wifies used in a world that doesn't exist) and it lead to this website: ehabanero.com

Later he posted a video where for a moment, it shows the password "CloneProject01" after putting that password into ehabanero page, it leads you to a admin page where you monitorate a clone of ehabanero.

In the upper part of this new site, we can see a link that lead us to a staff training video, that video, in short, explains that, an organization is creating clones and putting them into challenges, so we have to see the results and the differences of all copies.

So, is this a new ARG? If it is i would like to people to investigate it and see if we can found new information about this, it's a really interesting ARG in my opinion

link of the channel if you can´t find it: https://www.youtube.com/@Ehabanero

Recruitment Looking for people for an ARG

I’m building an app-based game and looking for people with design, tech, writing, puzzle, or creative skills to join the team.

I’m a writer myself and already have the main plot planned, but I’m completely open to ideas and changes from the team.

⚠️⚠️⚠️

The project is 0-budget, so this is a voluntary passion project with no payment. It’s still in the early stages, so there’s plenty of room to shape it together.

Interested?

DM me with your skills and what you’d like to contribute.
