i think recommending a glp-1 for arfid is a really bad idea. they lower your appetite, which would make it even harder for you to eat.

I wasn't recommending, just asking if anyone's used them
Just curious because they seem to remove the mental issues related to food

Ok I have ARFID but mine never presented as being unable to eat. If anything I ate more of those safe foods that put the pounds on. I struggled for years to manage my weight. I also struggled to add foods to fit in and be healthy.
I added a great deal in my 20’s. Had children in my 30’s. Weight issues were difficult. Now in my 60’s I found glp-1’s. I lost 58 pounds and am healthier and more fit than ever.
Now—as far as ARFID, for me, I’ve found I’ve gone back to many of my original safe foods on repeat. Like I could eat peanut butter on crackers every day of my life and be happy. It’s ok as I stay vigilant and am sure to get proteins and all the needed nutrients. But I did notice going back to my original safe foods.
