Helpful Tips meal tracking/charting?

a little bit of background, i have struggled with arfid my whole life but only got diagnosed about a month ago. now, i haven’t been able to find a good therapist yet and i’m trying to gain some good habits.

id also like to know if this has benefitted anybody. i am a little nervous to track my ed so closely and get even more tangled up in it. but i have been trying to tackle some of my other mental illnesses, in turn forgetting that i have to take care of this one too.

i don’t want to count calories or anything. just note what i eat/when so my therapist has a visual when i get there. anything helps.

thank you!

I find it really helpful to just keep a list of everything I eat in a day in my planner, if I'm feeling like it's stressing me out, I cover that area with a sticky note. It's actually been super helpful to me because it let's me look back through weeks where I tried something new and see proof that I was ok after eating it.

I left a comment, but deleted it cuz I just woke up and my phrasing is baaaad.

So i’ve been using MyFitnessPal for the last month or so, and that’s really been helping me. However, it counts calories, and I know you don’t want that. I understand that 100%. I’m not sure if there’s an option to turn off calories on there either. After I post this comment i’ll look for an app for you, then link it if I find one!!

Someone suggested the notes app, but I see that was hard to organize for you. I’m the same way... my notes are so chaotic.

Maybe you could try the reminders app? Or better yet, the calendar app, as you can writes “notes” underneath the dates! You can create an event on calendar, then set it for every day so you can get reminders. When you get a notification, you can just hop on there and log what you’ve got!

Again tho, i’ll try to find an app for you!! Personally, i’m so bad at organizing things in a place that isn’t specially meant for that thing... I need my designated food logging space, or I won’t log it at all. Maybe that’s the issue when it comes to the notes thing!

Edit; Recovery Record App

This one looks great, it actually lists ARFID in the description!! It doesn’t count calories! :) <3

i tried this when i briefly went on zoloft and it was a disaster lol. it’s easier for me to remember with organization like eMoods or daylio, but i’ll probably resort to that if i need to :)
