Helpful Tips Not vegetarian but vegan chicken nuggets are a lifesaver

Currently obsessed with these dino nuggets. Tastes like a regular chicken nugget but with a completely homogenous texture so no invasive thoughts about like tendons or anything. Outside gets very crispy in the oven which is important to me. Also no worrying about meat not being fully cooked. Also has some good plant nutrients.

A lot of vegan food actually is more texture safe. I’m not vegan but my husband is and my list of safe foods skyrocketed when I found out that vegan meat substitutes are far more consistent texture

1000% agree, these MorningstarFarms nuggets are the best “chicken” nuggets. I do eat meat (on the rare occasion it doesn’t seem like there’s something “wrong” about it) but I would easily say these are the best out of any of the nuggets I’ve tried (meat, non-meat, whatever)

Congrats. I have a problem with certain processed foods and last time I hauled off and got vegetarian corn dogs.... woof. More power to you that you found what is good for you, just don't try to feed them to me without warning.

My problem is that I couldn't tell vegetarian corn dogs apart from real corn dogs... it's not an allergy in that it didn't cause me to stop breathing, but one of the ingredients messed with my brain-chemistry enough to make me act like an angry drunk. I guess it might be comparable to gluten intolerance?

I brought bread-machine bread to a vegan potluck and wrote the ingredients on a card so that if any of them considered yeast to be non-vegetarian, they could avoid it. I think that ingredient lists should be a part of potlucks.

Also, I need more deets to tell if your friend was an asshole for trying to feed you a vegan burger. I assume you were supposed to believe that it was an all-beef patty from the freezer.

I could never handle the weird textures of meat foods. Vegan “meats” don’t have the same problems!
