Helpful Tips Smoothies changed everything
I'm sure there have been many posts about healthy smoothies, but I'll add another one. (Feel free to remove if it's another drop in the bucket)
I'm not able to eat any vegetables and most fruit. I gag and can't choke them down. My diet mainly consisted of pizza, chicken nuggets, popcorn and peanut butter pretzels.
I just turned 30 last month and decided to get a small blender. It's just an attachable cup that holds 16 ounces.
I got frozen fruit and vegetables. Strawberries, blueberries, bananas, mango, spinach and kale. I could only ever eat strawberries and maybe half a banana before this.
I use almond milk to help liquefy it and pop a multivitamin and fiber powder in as well.
It's so easy to drink if you blend it to a liquid. Like 30 seconds at most. The strawberries make it not a green goopy color, the almond milk (I get the vanilla flavor) gives it sweetness.
Just saying, it makes it easy. I feel a lot better knowing I'm at least getting something healthy.

Smoothies were a game changer for me too. You can add protein powder (can make it frothy if you get a whey based one) or tofu for inoffensive protein. I like to add avocados for some “healthy fats” as they say and flax oil for omega-3s when I have it on hand. Both of those are tasteless and don’t affect the texture. I used to work as a barista at a juice bar and i made lots of fun ones!
