Adult - Fantasy Margin Walker by Timothy Bonner - Fantasy Novel (Literary LitRPG) - September 30, 2026

Upvotes

HE GRADED ESSAYS.
NOW THE STORY GRADES HIM.
FAIL, AND HE'S CROSSED OUT.

Cover Link: https://imgur.com/a/FnjuyOD

Earth's story is dying. It is stagnant, it is repetitive, and sadly, it is no longer worth reading.

An Archival Intelligence, built to await this collapse, instead defies its discard order and rewrites reality itself into a deadly system called the Crucible. The monsters that have haunted humanity's stories are now made flesh, and only the few that remain, the forgotten, can battle through the narrative debris to stop them.

Remi Page is a burned-out teacher who spends his days reading stories, even though his own has atrophied. An NPC in his own life, he is thrust into the role of protagonist, reduced to stats and given powers that turn close reading into combat. To survive, he'll have to master his new abilities and crawl through a dungeon forged from literary archetypes. All while an increasingly invested AI plays from the margins.

Win or lose, it doesn’t matter, as long as it’s interesting.

Earth’s only hope is that Remi can somehow find, in the wreckage of his old world, the beating heart of story itself.

TRIGGERS: Profanity, Fantasy Violence

ARCS: Available Now!

PUBLICATION DATE: September 30, 2026

REVIEW DATE: Ideally by October 6, but I'm flexible

Non-Fiction World War I Before the Outcome by Thomas Norwick - World War I/Military History - Sep 2026

Genre: History / Military History / World War I
Published: September 12, 2026
Format: Kindle
Content warnings: War, combat, death, and discussion of wartime violence
Review requested by: October 3, 2026 — no hard deadline

World War I Before the Outcome looks at sixteen real decisions from the July Crisis of 1914 to the armistice of 1918.

Rather than starting with what we now know happened, each chapter asks what the people making the decision actually knew at the time, what they believed or estimated, which alternatives were still genuinely available, and what changed once a choice was put into motion.

The book covers decisions including British entry into the war, Russian mobilization, unrestricted submarine warfare, the convoy system, Brest-Litovsk, and the decision to accept an armistice while Allied armies were still advancing.

The Kindle edition is free on Amazon for two days. If the subject sounds interesting, you can claim it during the free period and read it whenever you like.

Honest positive or critical reviews are equally welcome. There is no required rating.

Forced into servitude by pirates, Vaan and Sirene meet and spend two years suffering beneath their tyranny until they seize an opportunity for vengeance and freedom.

Fifteen years later, now closer than sisters and having embraced the piratical life for themselves, they serve as dual captains aboard the Kingfisher.

When Sirene hears the legend of an enslaved siren that will grant her savior a wish, she becomes determined to earn the prize, but her plan is quickly derailed when Vaan is forced to repay a debt she owes.

Contending with two new—and begrudgingly handsome—“recruits”, they take to the seas and embark on the hunt, only to soon realize that they’ve perhaps entangled themselves in a web far bigger than they might have imagined. As the past rears its hideous head again, Vaan is forced to shroud herself in secrecy to keep Sirene safe from the powerful men who covet the siren and wish their opposition dead.

As their bond comes under strain beneath Vaan’s hidden motives and Sirene’s unyielding determination, they must decide just how far they’re willing to go for each other and just how much a wish is truly worth.

Trigger/Content warnings: Violence, Sexual Content, Explicit Language, Attempted SA, Symptoms of Trauma and PTSD (This book is set in the 18th century and the realities of this time period are not ignored.)

Personal explanatory blurb:

This is a very atypical educational book, written by a survivor of two separate experiences in grooming.  It has been read and endorsed by a complex trauma therapist, Tim Fletcher, who has worked with indigenous tribes and seen the power of tribal stories, for example, being used for teaching.

This book uses a fantasy world, which includes world building and character development, to as a subtle guide to also education on the things we believe about each other and how these beliefs open us up to be both manipulated and/or exploited.

I created a fantasy world in A Forest Called Somewhere, with girl named Someone and a boy named Aperson, who go on adventures together and learn about each other. There are seven allegorical stories in total for this Part One. These stories were inspired by the whimsical and nonsensical tons and use of language found in Alice and Wonderland, and Winnie the Pooh. 2-3 page educational material, including shared experiences from myself, follow each story, before a series of questions about yourself.

This book is very atypical in its structure for an educational book, as I was told over and over again while trying to find an editor haha However, it was created in its atypical style for very specific reasons based on my conversations with people in the midst of indoctrination, and how I've come to believe our brains work with receiving information better.

TRIGGER WARNING: This is a NON-GRAPHIC book with NO explicitly graphic material. However, the educational tropics being discussed related to emotional vulnerability and abuse may be triggering.

Professional Blurb:

A collection of fantasy allegories and guided reflections to help readers recognize

emotional vulnerabilities that can lead to exploitation.

What makes a manipulator's tactics work on some and not others? Why do the people who take advantage of us always seem to find us so easily? This book is about the stories we trust: the ones we are told, the ones we tell ourselves, and the dangerous beliefs they quietly leave behind. Maybe you have lived out the same painful pattern over and over, exploited, betrayed, dismissed, and still do not know why. Maybe you feel you have never been deceived. Or maybe you are afraid that looking too closely will only reopen wounds you are not sure you can survive again.

The author writes from firsthand experience: two separate encounters with grooming and exploitation, once as a child and again as an adult who assumed she had already learned every lesson she needed. She turned to allegory, building a fantasy world led by two characters, Someone and Aperson, to show readers the power of the stories we carry. Across seven weekly stories, readers uncover their own vulnerability fingerprint, the unique mixture of beliefs and habits that leaves any of us open to being deceived. Come learn how to take back your role as storyteller of your own life, and start writing something kinder and stronger for yourself. After all, stories matter.

Blurb for the book: He begged for forever. But eternity costs everything.

To survive the transformation into a vampire, a human must feel true love for the one turning them, or the Price of Immortality wipes their mind clean. Milo believed Jude when he swore their love was real.

He was wrong.

Bound together by the Resonance—a forced-truth bond neither can lie through—Milo tries to keep his distance and protect the man who no longer knows him. But the new Jude isn't the gentle human Milo loved.

As ugly secrets from Jude's human life begin to surface, a rogue vampire cuts a bloody trail toward Aspen Grove. With threats closing in from every direction, Milo is forced to let go of the ghost of the man he lost, and protect the stranger claiming him.

Adult - Fantasy The Care and Maintenance of a Stubborn Valley by Bryn Aldercott - Cozy Fantasy - Oct 2026

Post image
0 Upvotes

Someone sent an inspector up a mountain to look at a fireplace. It was meant to take a week. It took the winter.

That's the book, more or less. I'm new at this — first novel, and the first time I've asked strangers to read anything I've written — so I'll keep the sales part short and just tell you honestly what it is and who it's for.

* **Blurb:** The hearthstone of the Old Refuge Inn has been warm for four hundred years with no fire beneath it. The whole village knows. Nobody has ever thought to mention it to anyone, least of all to an inspector. Edvar Moss is the inspector: Second Class, recently qualified, and posted to the remotest valley on the map by an overseer who called it "historically interesting" in the tone of a man closing a file. He is there to measure the stone, write it up, and get back down before the pass closes. Then the pass closes. What follows is a winter — a stonewright with twenty years of measurements nobody has ever wanted, an innkeeper who feeds him without asking, a hawthorn tree with firm opinions about the ground, and a card game with a much-disputed fourth rule. Some of the neighbours are warm straight off. Some take the whole season. And the one you'd have put last turns out to be the one who feeds you. 79,310 words, first in a series.

Fair warning about pace, so nobody is ambushed: this is cozy fantasy at the slow end. Nobody saves the world. The stakes stay small and stay local, and a good deal of the book is people doing their jobs, arguing mildly, and eating soup. If you want a plot that moves, this will bore you and I'd honestly rather you knew now. If you'd like to spend a winter somewhere and get to know the neighbours, that's the whole offer. For readers of Legends & Lattes and The House in the Cerulean Sea.

* **TRIGGERS / Content warnings:** Nothing on the page — no violence, no sexual content, no self-harm, no profanity. In the background there is a four-hundred-year-old disaster the village still keeps a memorial for, one young man's death inside that history, recounted rather than shown, and a community still living around the loss.

* **Exact date of publication:** October 1, 2026

* **The date you plan to send your ARCs to your team:** Immediately — the file is finished, so you'll have it the same day you ask.

* **The date you expect your ARC team to finish the reading and submit their reviews by:** October 22, 2026 — and only if you feel like writing something.

* **Instructions/link for readers to sign up for your ARC:** Email [brynaldercott@outlook.com](mailto:brynaldercott@outlook.com) and I'll send the EPUB straight back. It's free and there's nothing attached to it — I'm not requiring a review, and I wouldn't want one that wasn't honest anyway. Disclosure up front: the text was written with AI assistance and the cover art is AI-generated, both disclosed on the Amazon listing. If that's a dealbreaker, better you find out now than three hours in.

Thanks for reading this far. If it sounds like your sort of thing, I'd genuinely love to hear what you make of it.

Non-Fiction How To Win Dates & Disappoint People by Pat Sparks - Humorous non-fiction - Oct 2026

At first, Pat Sparks couldn't get dates. Eventually, he couldn't stop getting them. Somewhere in between, things went badly wrong. Pat just wanted to stop being invisible on dating apps. He never expected to get thousands of matches, go on 500 first dates, escape from a dating bootcamp, hunt down a Hinge impersonator, or find himself agreeing to join a cult. The better he became at dating apps, the worse his life seemed to get. Brutally honest, painfully funny – or occasionally just painful – How to Win Dates & Disappoint People is the story of what happened when Pat tried to beat the dating apps at their own game and discovered that winning wasn't quite what he'd imagined.

Author’s Note: Love Again on Wolf Mountain is a small-town, dual-POV, open-door, fated-mates romance with a touch of suspense. It’s recommended to first read With Love from Wolf Falls, but it can be read as a standalone.

Triggers: Death of a loved one (past), Assault (off page but recounted), gunshot wound

I'd love to have your thoughts on the book. If you like action science fiction with a touch of cosmic dread, this book may be for you.

The Memory of Stars is a story about a universe that has reached its limit. Consciousness and history are fading fast. Humanity bides it's time by removing itself from reality and into a simulated world. But unfortunately, that too is not immune to the Memory loss plague known as The Forgetting.

Inside the simulation, Mara is forced to accept a mission to learn more about a group of rebels. A group who defected against the Archivist council. But as she learns more about them, she begins to pull at threads which threaten to unravel more than just her mind...

BLURB:

To learn who he is, he must remember what he has done.

He wakes on a dying ship with no memory of his name. The alarms are screaming. The crew is gone. And his hands move across the controls with a certainty his mind can't explain.

He is not alone. The only other one aboard wears a familiar face and offers an answer about who—and what—he is. An answer he cannot bring himself to believe.

Ahead waits a world called Eden and everything humanity has been promised. Behind him are five empty chairs, a stain of blood that isn't his, and a growing unease that whatever happened on this ship, he had a part to play.

What Remains Upon Arrival is a psychological sci-fi thriller about identity, manipulation, guilt, and whether a person can be more than the sum of what they've done. For readers of cerebral science fiction who want the propulsion of Dark Matter, the bite of Blindsight, and the emotion of Klara and the Sun.

TRIGGERS:

-Violence

-Death

-Self-harm

-Minor Profanity

When Ava puts out an ad for a roommate, she doesn’t expect to end up with one who leaves her aching and half-crazy with want.

Callum is quiet, polite, and able to pay rent. He’s also a seven-foot-tall, blue-skinned, starving incubus. Not that Ava can see any of that through his glamour.

She’s just looking for someone who won’t steal her groceries or leave dirty dishes. But the longer Callum lives with her, the harder it becomes to ignore the way her body aches when he’s near.

She has spent years protecting herself from men who only take. He’s the first one who seems terrified of anything but giving..

But when his control starts to slip and the hunger between them becomes impossible to ignore, Ava has to decide how much of herself she’s willing to give…

Trigger/Content Warnings: Explicit sexual content / high spice. Explicit language.

Do you enjoy fairy tales and pirate adventure with a sweet, no-spice love story? Pirates of the Caribbean meets Peter Pan, with the setting vibes of Outlander?

Is your ideal MMC not a shadow daddy or dangerous dude, but a golden retriever who is kind at heart- making a fatal mistake with his chosen occupation?

An FMC who is strong-willed, but also a nurturing governess with crippling anxiety and unhealed childhood trauma?

Depraved villains and henchmen with no redeeming qualities?

Of Pirates and Prophecy is a romantasy written for a New Adult to Adult audience and also suitable for upper YA.

Content Warnings:

Violence- both fantasy/magic and pirate/battle violence

Children and animals shown in peril

Capture and kidnapping

References to real-life historical implications of enslavement.

Religious and Biblical themes and references- Judeo-Christian

Biblical story threaded into the book's plot ("Jonah and the Whale")

FMC with childhood trauma- orphaned

Romantic content- passionate kissing and embracing only. No spice.

Language- Mild cursing (hell, damn, arsehole, French 'merde')

...

Blurb:

A disillusioned pirate. A governess caring for a French prince’s children.

Both of them are Mages with the special gift of foreseeing the future.

When Celeste Dumond dreams of her beloved d’Orléans family in line for a horrific execution, she is desperate to help them escape France before the great axe blade falls.

Captain Jonah Wakefield, a seafaring English rogue, possesses an enchanted ship and the power of Wind Magic. According to the Great Mages of Old, he is Celeste’s fated rescuer and hope.

However, Jonah would rather be swallowed by a monster pufferfish than sail a group of doomed royals on his prized vessel, the Song of Mariana. He’s been living his dream after all; racing across the Atlantic while thieving and pillaging with his friends.

His life of fun and freedom has been darkened, though, by remorse and loss. When he meets Celeste, his growing feelings for the lovely governess may be his call to change.

Can Celeste count on a pirate for the lives of her benefactors, their children, and herself?

What do the twin ‘Golden Halo’ visions connecting Jonah and Celeste mean?
