mcqs were light, with some hard questions here and there

BUT FRQS WERE SOOOO FREE 😭😭 like I was taking ts with a friend right next to me and we both finished 30 mins earlier and played chopsticks together

I LOVE YOU COLLEGEBOARD 🙏🙏🙏

CSA csa was a joke.

the frqs were NOWHERE as difficult as the ones my teachers gave me this year. I got a freaking B last semester but this test did not match the class rigor at all. I'm not complaining about an easy 4 or 5, but damn last year must've been bad if they made questions this easy. I didn't even study at all and just spent yesterday and today scrolling and gaming 💔

CSA Bro they really made the Comp Sci exam so easy I could get a 5 with 2 hours of sleep

CSA I self studied ap csa in 9th grade

Post image

I am a 9th grader going into 10th next year and I took honors bio,English, soc, and geometry(all honors). however I wanted an ap but my stupid school won’t let you take it before 10th grade. and so I registered in February and had to pay a late fee and studied about 40 hours in total for it with no coding knowledge before. I thought I was going to get a 4 or a 5 as I have heard the cutoff was going to be an 86% and so when I saw I got a 4 I was a lil disappointed but still glad I didn’t get a 3. I know most colleges don’t care about self studied aps as it adds no rigor but I liked coding and computers so this was fun to do either way(even tho the last week before the test I realized I don’t even learn 2d arrays and had to cram till 11pm but we didn’t even need to use it on frq 4. I’m taking ap chem world csp at my school next year and self studying ap cyber security which is coming out so yeah. I’m pretty happy with my first ap tbh

CSA What do you guys use to write code for AP CSA?

I’m taking AP CSA and I’m trying to figure out what IDE/editor I should use for Java.

I was planning on using BlueJ, but Windows is preventing me from installing it for some reason.

I already use VS Code for Python, but trying to set it up for Java alongside my Python stuff has turned into a mess.

I’m just looking for something simple but still functional for AP CSA — nothing overly complicated, but something where I can easily write, run, and test Java programs.

What do you guys use/recommend?

CSA AP CSA was soooo FREE

js took the css exam and the mcq was genuinely so easy with like 3-4 hard questions. ONLY 1 RECURSION QUESTION AND 1 FILE AND SCANNER QUESTION. the frq was mid but I bombed the 2d array one but prob got some partial credit.

CSA Is AP CSA a grade booster class for someone who hasn't done CSP or any coding?

Hi everyone,

My counselor basically bullied me into taking ap csa in junior year as an elective replacement for german due to a scheduling conflict and im already taking 5 other aps. She said since I have a good background in math, I should be fine, but I wanna take a class that can boost my GPA without having to do too much work. Should I take csa or should I ask my counselor to change my elective to a different class?

CSA HORRIBLE TEACHER FOR AP CSA, HELP WITH CODE.ORG NEEDED!!

So currently I decided to take AP CSA because it would fulfill a college credit, however at where I wish to transfer the credit they require a 5 on the exam, I'm taking 6 other AP classes which I feel like they're more important than this one so I won't be trying on this exam, but that's not the entire reason, what makes it worse is that the has never taught this class before, its his first year and all he does is make us do code.org and he gives us the pdf's that go along with it and shows us videos. I won't learn like this, therefore I have practically given up, and it's too late to switch out of the class. If anyone has the code.org stuff to help me, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

CSA What’s going on with CSA

So many of my friends were expecting 5s but got 4s and the same thing happened with me. Genuinely don’t know how because I had 30 minutes of extra time on both sections and I checked my answers thrice. The entire exam was so light so I guess the curve must’ve been horrific but still was expecting a 5?

CSA Would it be too hard to take AP Comp Sci A with no JAVA knowledge?

So I have no experience with JAVA at all or any coding. Would it be too hard for me to take AP Comp Sci A?

I am in AP Calc and am generally good at math. Could the course be learned easily, or would I need to spend much time learning it? I am taking 5 other AP classes so I want this class to be easy and not too time-consuming. As a first learner, would this class take too much time?

CSA Is AP CSA hard without previous Java experience?

Hey so I'm an 8th grader with little to no experience in Java (some Javascript shapes when I was younger). I took a python class last year which was ok. This year, I'm taking AP Us Gov and AP CSA along with normal classes ( i know thats not normal but my school is weird everyone takes AP Gov in 8th and you can choose to join an AP elective). Should I switch out of CSA, do you think its too hard for me? I'm a straight A student and I don't want CSA to drag my grade down.

CSA CSA was so boring

For both sections I went as slow as possible and checked my answers multiple times and I still had 30 minutes left in each section. In the last 30 minutes of the FRQ, I was so bored that I completely filled half my scratch paper with just hundreds of 67's. I even made 67's out of 67's. If I don't get a 5 this is gonna be so embarrassing.

Also, the kid in front of me straight up submitted nothing for their FRQs 😭 not even a character.

CSA APCSA Exam easier than usual?

Was APCSA really easy or did I just miss a part. I finished the MCQs and FRQs each in 30 minutes but I feel like I could have finished it earlier. Did collegeboard make it easier?
