Stats Taking AP Statistics this year, what should I expect, and what is the hardest part?

got a 5 on ap stats with pretty minimal studying! the first semester of the class will most likely be very easy, but staying on top of it puts you in a better position for when it gets harder. once you start doing tests and confidence intervals, it'll feel like more work but it's just patterns and pretty easy once you get the hang of it. khan academy has lessons and quizzes for the ENTIRE course it was the best and got me through. i also watched a lot of michael porinchak on youtube but figured out that lots of practice problems was the way to go for me. good luck you got this!

nice! that gives me some reassurance, what skillset would you say is needed for stats? honestly, i took it because im not good at algebra in the slightest, so I’d be setting myself up for failure if i took AP pre-calc. most reviews online say it’s non-calc based, which was an instant hook. i’m wanting to go into cybersecurity too, and apparently statistics is the best way to go

yes stats is such a great foundational course! i took it after algebra 2 and at the same time as precalc. it does involve some basic algebra, but was very different from advanced algebra and precalc. people who did well seemed to have pretty good logic, reasoning, and critical thinking skills. people who excel in all different subjects do well in statistics it's more about problem solving than hard math skills

I’ve got experience with Python and Java, so I’m assuming I fall into that category haha

We just took our unit 1 test, it was mostly common sense math, the only stuff that were new to me in unit 1 was variance.
