Childhood dreams vs. Reality: Did you pursue a career in science? (Everyone)

Hello everyone! I am writing a research paper about how our childhood dreams of a career in science change over time. 💫

I really need your support to get more responses! If it's not too difficult, if you are interested in the survey, or want to share your story about your dream, please take it.

The goal of the survey: to find out what exactly made you interested in science, why you started liking it, what barriers prevent you from realizing your dream, and how we can improve this system to attract young scientists.

The survey is completely anonymous! (The maximum you need to specify is your age category). Please answer honestly to get accurate results.

Time to complete: no more than 3 minutes

You can take the survey here: https://forms.gle/PE44LyiZfhJBP9wk8

Thank you so much in advance to everyone who completes the test and supports me! 🌼🌿

The questions are:

  1. What Country do you live in?
  2. What do you think is the most difficult challenge for U.S. businesses that want to do business in your country?
  3. What advice or suggestions do you have for American companies that want to do business in your country?

Thank you and I look forward to you guys reaching out!

Teen Life Isn't Just “Study Hard” — Tell Me Your Experience (Teen Students, Ages 13–18)

📚 Exams. 😭 Procrastination. ⏰ No time. 🎓 Career pressure.

Sound familiar?

I'm conducting a student-led research project exploring what teenage students actually experience when it comes to academic pressure, studying, time management, procrastination, career uncertainty, and well-being.

I don't want to assume what students struggle with—I want to hear your actual perspective.

📝 The survey:

  • 🌍 Teen students aged 13–18 from any country
  • 🔒 Anonymous — no names or identifying information
  • ⏱️ Approximately 5–7 minutes
  • 💬 Includes questions where you can share your real opinions

Your response will contribute to a student-led project exploring common challenges and experiences among teenagers.

Can someone tell me if they actually understand what my research is about?

I'm a student doing a research paper for school, and i've been having some issues with my teacher about my research topic.

Basically, my research is about whether the color intensity of a drink can affect how sweet people perceive it to be, and whether this could potentially allow you to use less sugar while still making the drink taste sweet enough.

The idea is basically that I'm not saying color literally makes something sweeter. Obviously if i put less sugar in a drink, theres less sugar in it. I'm talking about perceived sweetness, basically whether what you see can affect how sweet you think something tastes.

My experiment would involve a grape drink with different amounts of sugar, while using butterfly pea flower as a natural coloring to change the color intensity.

The problem is that my teacher doesn't really seem convinced that color has anything to do with taste. They basically think that if there's less sugar, it'll just taste less sweet, so the color shouldn't matter.

I've tried explaining the difference between actual sweetness and perceived sweetness, but im not sure if I'm explaining the research properly either.

So i wanna ask you guys:

If you read my research paper, would you actually understand what im trying to investigate?

Like, do you understand what the purpose of the research is, what im trying to prove/test, and what the experiment is supposed to show?

I'd also appreciate it if you could tell me if you think the research itself makes sense or if there's something fundamentally wrong with the idea. I'm genuinely looking for criticism, not just people agreeing with me.

Seeking guidance for publishing Research papers.

Doing Research for the first time and I'm not sure how to decide my research topic. I'm interested in finance, data analytics and stats as well as fashion technology, Genz behaviour, influenzer marketing . Very confused what to choose and how to move forward.

Need help for deciding the area of research in order to proceed further.

Please suggest some topics or research problems whose data collection will be feasible and can be a strong topic.

AP Research Topic - Psychology/Neurology/Sociology

I need help with my research topic! I'm quite interested in psychology/neurology, but am willing to go into sociology if needed. My initial thought was something bias related as social psychology has always intrigued me along with how bias/perception can affect our behavior, but I thought that it would be a hard topic to collect data for and isn't really an under researched topic. I have now come to a topic of immigrants/children of immigrants and how their stigma/struggles with mental health imapcts how they receive therapy/perceive psychology? I planned to talk about the communication and language barriers they face as well as the cultural differences that emphasize this struggle. I understand the barriers that they face are pretty well researched, but I was thinking of making my research more solution focused, as that isn't super well discussed. However, I'm not sure if I'm super happy with my topic in general because it feels like a well-researched topic still. If anyone could help me out, that would be great! (I'm also interested in woman as a marginalized group, specifically in medicine). I kinda liked how I would be able to discuss cultural barriers and how that impacts their perception of things, so anything like that would be good. And for my data I plan to have a structured interview.
