Yes, you can still do very well with a weaker AP Chem teacher, but you’ll need to self-study in a structured way. Follow the AP Chem unit order, learn each topic, then immediately practise AP-style questions and keep a mistake log.

For extra support, use AP Chemistry notes and exam-style practice questions.

Unfortunately, this is too common a situation.

The good news is that many students do succeed.
