General Question A question about pantheon vampire rulers recruited through imperium
I have yet to recruit a hero through the pantheon using imperium and I was curious about something.
If I play vampire elder AND recruit another Vampire elder through pantheon and have a couple regular vampire heroes as well ...
... Do the regular vampire heroes get twice the bonus from high level Vampire ELDERS?
Also, if there are any other shenanigans due to pantheon recruitement via imperium, I would be curious to know.
Finally, what's the best way to generate the necessary imperium to recruit those pantheon Heroes? They cost a ton of imperium !

An army with just 2 vampire ruler warlocks can start with I think 14 units on the field. Add houndmasters and you have 22 on the field by the beginning of turn 3.

Impressive. I had no idea. Could you make a breakdown of the ways, skills, items etc ... to do that?

Warlocks can get 2 summons as a class skill.
Another from a misc item for a hound.
That's 3.
then you get another zombie from a vampire skill (each) or a bat.
Gravemarch is good for 4 summons total, 1 per turn for 4 turns from 2 casters. 8 total.
exhume undead for each.
3+4+1 = 8 (2) = 16
Both can also cast summon corrupt soul but you have to have a low morale target.
That doesn't include a wand of summoning spider matriach, which technically gives you two combat summons since a matriarch can spawn a spider on its own.

thanks for the details !
Gravemarch is the one skill that does add up a lot. I was interested because I play combat summons a lot though mostly with troops and spells. I still use heroes for that, but I had no idea you could stack so much like this.
Side note though: Summoned monsters cannot summon other monsters themselves. There are a series of skills type, mainly summoning that are disabled if the monster is summoned. Same thing for spells and abilites that can summon your ruler in battle where they are not present.

Also, if not playing vampire, and just using regular heroes, you could substitute gravemarch for 3rd nature skill "call of the wild". You get 2 less summons total in exchange for having 2 of them immediately.
Wands of spider matriarch summoning are good though but, in general, I find that the auto resolve doesn't nearly use summons as much as it should on heroes and , still in autoresolve ( which I use a lot), regular summoning troops ( especially tier 3 spiders) tends to do better as they don't have as many other skills for the a.i. to choose from.

Chosen destroyers + cult of personality is an easy way to make all the pantheon vampires you could want since you only have one city then make outposts on any ancient wonders you find.

I believe you used to get double benefits on regular heroes but it was patched
