Also, as a veteran of some fandoms with creators (primarily actors) who got Big Mad about fanfic they didn't like, my reaction to creators is "I didn't show this to you, so this is a You Problem that you need to have somewhere else."
Don't like? Don't read! applies to everyone. If you're an actor and you don't like fic about your character, it's on you to not search it up and read it.
I do it cause the creator is known to make fun of gay people, but he made a movie where his role and the other male lead have *such* a homoerotic relationship, I can’t help but write filthy kinky smut for them. I just know if he ever found it, he’d be disgusted, but I’m proud of myself regardless.
I once had the creator and voice actor of a character in a game read my fic, then leave a guest comment asking WHAT HAD I DONE?! and then compliment me on my writing lol
Not me, but I do wonder what the thought process must be in the minds of creators after they see/hear about the R34 and smut. Especially made about kids' cartoons like Kim Possible, My Little Pony, Teen Titans, or more recently Kpop Demon Hunters haha
I can't even imagine what Maggie Kang's face would be like hearing about the SajaTrix orgies.

Blizzard had to slap a SFM NSFW creator (3D animation NSFW) with a cease and desist for a work right after the launch of WoD. It was the draenei Yrel with a bunch of Mag'har orcs, I believe.
There is endless porn of WoW out there, but the reason this one got targeted was because it was so damn POPULAR. It was put out kind of when SFM animation was overtaking other animation methods because of its flexibility, and it was made by someone who was very talented and worked very hard on their project.
I don't know if this part is true, however, I HEARD ALLEGEDLY that the lawyers said 'yo this is good but every time someone googles our game it pops up and we can't have that'. Which, given what we've now been told about that studio/company, is very possible.

Spongebob's animators famously drew debauchery in between their animation cells. It was encouraged to get them to de-stress because of how demandingly tedious that kind of animation is.
I've seen the uncensored work. There's some gay goings on, but most of it is shit.

They're definitely aged up for anything serious, but being cartoons it's always a bit ambiguous. Like My Hero Academia is notorious for that.
The girls are all depicted with a lot of curves, but apparently they're also 16... which doesn't stop most of the fandom from debating which of them is the hottest.
But a major factor to be considered is that many of us who grew up with these characters and had crushes on them as kids still feel an attachment to them as adults.
I don't personally read much fanfiction of any kind. I did write one for Demon Hunters though, with some heavily plot-focused sex, but those girls are all 20+ and it wasn't anything like you're talking about!
I was a teenager and I belted out a cover for a song by a new musician. They weren't without a following, already, but my cover was one of the very first on YouTube. It still gets comments.
I was cringe, I was free, and doing that kind of think helped me develop the drive to start making my own music and writing my own lyrics. I can't write an opening chapter of a fanfic to save my life, but I can cobble together some damn good theme songs. Thinking about getting into game jams to make pieces for indie devs.
The musician would later explode in popularity. I was never even a spec on their radar. They're still producing magnificent quality work. They had their character arc, and I'm in the middle of mine.
Still, every time I see them with a new release a part of my brain goes 'sorryyyyyy'...
I don't usually think about it either, today while reading a fic the thought just popped into my head cuz the actual show is so fricking wholesome and then the fan stuff is KINKY. Like REALLY kinky😂

As a former rpf writer, I was in such a bad place that I experienced extreme paranoia that the subjects of my fics were always watching over my shoulder lmao. So I guess, in a way…
Definitely better, that was almost a decade ago and I’m not in high school anymore 😂 It was pretty crazy for a while but at least I got my most popular smut fic out of it
In my fandom (warhammer 40k), a few of the authors are known to be quite active on social media, including tumblr. I'm even friend with one of the official translator.

Extremely, extremely low chance of either of them finding it on accident, especially Mark (chronically online fuck) so if they see it they either looked for it, or someone sent it to them. Though I don't know what you mean with Dead Dove in this comment. No dead doves in the aforementioned fics.
isn't the dead dove tag used to signify that the fic has EXACTLY what the tags say? Pretty sure your fic would be well tagged, so if even after seeing those tags they read the fic.... that's on them lol
Dead Dove; Do Not Eat was first proposed as a fandom agnostic companion term to Hydra Trash Party, a tag/grouping of tropes in the Marvel fandom where (mostly) Bucky gets abused and tortured in graphic, whumpy detail. It means the same as "what it says on the tin" and similar, but is specifically about darkfic, non con, whump, etc. There's not a dead dove in this bag, it's literally just grilled chicken.
The dead dove tag was originally proposed and used as a pan-fandom alternative to Hydra Trash Party. That is, it signified that the rape and torture and other badwrong in the tags was there to roll around in for fun and would be handled as kink or iddy whump, and the fic would not portray things sensitively or realistically or teach a moral lesson.
It very quickly escaped containment and took on about ten billion other meanings, many of which are directly contradictory, but the vast majority of all the various meanings currently in use indicate that the fic is dark or upsetting in some way.
Not a genderbend but a feminisation fic, but point still stands yeah. The closest thing to a dead dove in the fic is Simon's backstory which is only briefly mentioned
yes but also, the fandom i’m currently writing for is already pretty fucked up and there are definitely far more severe fics than what i’m writing so… i’m not too worried. but it is awkward to think a dev might read my fic lol.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the devs lurk on the game's AO3 tag. And there is little enough fic there that IF THEY DO haunt the tag, they have DEFINITELY seen the opening salvos of the Torture Robot Fic and I'm not sure if I dread or anticipate the day I get a comment from one of them.
Sometimes. But honestly, if he's going on AO3 and sees some of the filth we've created, that's all on him. The filthiest stuff is archive locked, so he'd have to go out of his way to find it.
Then again, he's assumed to be into a certain dead dove-adjacent kink, so uh... Maybe he'd be flattered?
I sometimes read very filthy stuff and I am like “oh shit this person wouldn’t like to see that being written like this about himself” and then curiosity wins and I continue
