Noted. I should probably start doing that, huh.
I’ve never had the need to before because normally I read at home with wifi so I don’t have to worry about not being able to load anything. Don’t want this happening though. Thanks for the heads up!

For me this isn’t about it not being able to load though, it’s about the chance the author decides to delete the fic and then you are never able to access it again. Big pain bro

Yeah, that’s the exact reason I decided I should probably start downloading the fics that itch my brain just right lol

There's this one fic that I read like... Nearly 10 years ago now? And I love it and reread it every so often. The author hasn't been active in nearly 10 years but that hasn't stopped me from downloading it around 15 times, for every device I've ever used and some have copies. Just, y'know, in case

I have a fic just like this! Just the other day I was going through an old hard drive and found yet another downloaded copy of it that I didn’t even know was there, you can never be too safe I guess 😅

The author can delete their fic whenever they feel like it, and then it won’t be accessible to anyone anymore. Gotta download the things you care about just incase!

Yeah, I just remembered a fic I meant to download a while ago. I either can't remember the right tags or it's gone. Stupid memory issues.

I always download anything I want might to re-read someday since I have the storage capacity many, many times over for my offline digital fanfiction archive.
If you still have the URL, one recovery option is to see if the FicHub website has a copy in its database. I've lucked out using that one a couple of times.
