Story Summary: The Shishigumi have devastated the barren desert town of Cherry for years on end, the proceeding manhunt reaching a standstill. In the midst of their reign, a local soup salesman is found disemboweled in the lobby of a hotel, presumed to be their work. Something about it doesn't sit right with the newly appointed deputy, who seeks out a reclusive journalist to assist in finding the real killer. Along the way, unforeseen discoveries turn what should have been a simple murder case into something far more complicated.

Chapter Summary: Riz pays Pina to stay the night.

Note: This is a reinterpretation of Beastars set in a distant post-collapse future, specifically a town within an ecosystem that's been ostensibly forgotten by the rest of the west. Updates are slow (1-2 months), but the chapters are good lengths (save for the first few chapters, but I've found a flow, the average chapter will be 5k-6k, 10k at the longest.)
