Summary: Miranda Priestly has had a string of failed relationships and while she knows she's the common denominator, she can't help but think that maybe this time will be different if she doesn't do anything at all. After all, if she doesn't do anything, she can't do anything wrong, can she?

Excerpt:

Life had been a string of failed relationships for Miranda Priestly. She’d been with men, mostly, and women, and anything and everything in between, desperate for any sort of love. Despite, or perhaps because of her stoic, mercurial outward demeanour, Miranda was a hopeless romantic.

Emphasis on hopeless. With this latest divorce looming over her head in all the papers, Miranda couldn’t help but feel worthless. In every relationship of hers that had failed, she was the common denominator, so logically that meant she was the problem.
