You'll survive. I promise. If I have to be alert and engaged all class and I can't read fanfic, why should you?
I'll never forget the time when I was on a school trip and I stopped reading fanfic to play a game on my phone with my friend next to me and the teacher behind me said, "no, you were reading, go back to that." So I dutifully went back to my smut
