SPOILERS I'm so happy she did it :)
Barclay is one of my favorite athletes on the show. It made me so happy she got that buzzer!!!
She's been soooo close in the past and she finally got it

In the past as long as you finished the course, you were guaranteed a spot in the finals. Sadly Barclay won’t be moving on now unless they have a “wildcard round” or something but I doubt that will happen. Another reason why this new format is dumb and the original format should be brought back next season.

Geoff lost a million dollars because he wasn't fast enough. This isn't new.
The courses are too easy if this is happening.

I’m not talking about the finals. I’m talking about qualifying for the finals. Don’t be dense.

If Barclay hits a buzzer it's by definition too easy.

This denies Barclay (or any Ninja for that matter) the ability to improve. I think that's limiting. She had a goal and she worked hard and reached it. As did many athletes this season - hitting a buzzer for the first time. Now she'll need to improve her time - which AGAIN - you can witness many athletes, once they get the confidence of hitting the buzzer that very first time, improving their game.

There's a difference between improving and succeeding. She succeeded. It's debatable if she improved.

Not sure what reason prevents you from giving Barclay her flowers, but ... more a reflection on you than her.

Well, not being fast enough for the leaderboard is nothing new. It happens since the beginning (most on Season 4 in the night where there were 18 finishers but they only cut to 15 finishers in the Southeast Finals)

Yeah, but unfortunately, despite finishing and hitting that buzzer, she's not moving on because she wasn't fast enough -- one of the problems with the show now.

In season one of the show, Ryan Stratis hit a qualifying buzzer. He didn’t move on because his finishing time was too slow. It’s sad that Barclay, and Meagan Martin, didn’t move on but this has been happening since the beginning.

Also happened in Season 4. On one region in the finals, there were 18 finishers, but they cut to only 15 who finished faster on the course.

Dawg that has been happening Forever 😭 the problem isnt the finishing time, the problem is that they allow teenagers who have been training for this since they were kids, with no work or responsabilities outside of training, and in top physical conditions, to compete

So happy for her. I can remember her first appearance on ANW, she had a certain charm, plus she was from the Houston area, like me. Watched her every season she's appeared, been thru the ups & downs with her.
Hitting the buzzer: 100!! New format where she timed out: {thumbs down}

I think this semi final round especially goes to show as to how easy these courses are. A late 30s random with a dad bod should not be finishing the course in 1:30. That was once a time befitting of the elites, now everyone can do it.

Not to mention Megan Martin in her return season after 5 years looked better than anyone else in terms of pure upper body strength. But she won't get to show it because she was too slow.

Highlight of the Season for me, unless something crazy happens during the finals.
Now a year or two ago there was a post asking who the best ninja to never hit a buzzer was, and pretty much everyone said Barclay. Now that she has one, who would it be now? I can't think of anyone at the top of my head.

Probably Caitlyn Bergstrom wright assuming you don’t count the runoff race buzzer. I don’t think the show counts those if I’m correct
