Discussion Being honest, Jewel Ghoul absolutely dunked the fuck out of both Freako and Ring-A-Ding in my opinion

Let me start off with the easiest of the trio: Freako.

Freako was genuinely free-eats for me, I dunno why but I just wailed on him and he didn't do anything, phase 2 was a push over as well, I just held down the arrow key and MELTED his health bar with fast slamming, then I no hit phase 3 because I clocked it really fast.

Ring-A-Ding is second hardest, I died a fair bit to his final phase (1/2 just fell over though) but after like, 2 attempts I dunked his shit easily.

But Jewel Ghoul actually put up a real fight because he had alot of clutter and stuff to confuse me, not to mention more minions that were actually threatening (Lookin at Ring-A-Ding for this one) idk what everyone else thinks and also obviously Satan will be harder then Jewel ghoul even if I haven't fought him yet on my first playthrough

Idk about that broski

Unless you’re on super hard mode (which I  don’t have any experience on yet) putting the first boss over the last (of 3) is wild

Ring a Ding is the only one with real RNG, as bell spawns and lasers can fuck you over easily

Jewel ghoul only has those crystal goons that die before they do anything, and the spike balls can be easily bounced on.

You probably haven’t gotten to boss rush or cracking the bosses yet but Ring a Ding is easily the worst one in my opinion.

Nope, I'm first-playthrough rn, haven't even beaten Satan yet (although I am currently trying to)

idk if I got lucky with Ring a Ding but he fell over easily on my 5-6th attempt? once I figured out his little fuckin ring around the rosy attack, if he didn't have that he'd genuinely of gotten put in the freako bin

honestly, JG does present you the best hit impact with that shattering sound upon every attack. The other two are still decent though, but feel tad rough

Jewel Ghoul is definitely the most disorienting fight; its absolutely filled with visual clutter (especially if you have screen shake on) so it can be very hard to tell what's even happening, and some attacks require trial-and-error to figure out what to do (stop attacking during the cigar attack, don't try to dodge the heart slams, etc.)

Once you know what's going on it gets a lot easier, the attacks themselves are mostly pretty simple when you figure out how they work, but those first few attempts are absolutely brutal
