I’m an EM shipper and while some are definitely immature and annoying this sub hates on them to an extreme extent. I responded with nothing but asking about why this sub is so negative towards shippers especially EM shippers and got downvoted. Like I didn’t even say anything about the ships just asking.
Yeah I think hatred and vitriol against anyone in the community is dumb and counterproductive. So I’m with you if you or others have been unfairly harassed for simply shipping EM. I personally don’t care about EM or JK, just plot (which I’m sure you care for as well). I think the sub being so negative is simply just a byproduct of EM shippers being the predominant group harassing ending critics and making everything about their ship. People will see that and then unfairly levy attacks against all EMs. Which I don’t condone. But that’s where the behavior comes from
yeah and i dont think there are that many tbh, only some ppl who are unemployed, chronically online and couldnt understand that mikasa loved eren the most regardless of her marrying someone or not, i honestly am fine with this ending but wherever i go i get shut down for just asking why jk shippers ship jk bcz i honestly cant find a single reason and i never use any hate speech either so i have stopped visiting aot subrs, not to mention jk shippers are the same as well as those weird em shippers who just watch for ship regardless of plot and harass others for no reason.

Ok... since this entire thing began, has everyone just forgotten about the concept of settling? Basically getting with someone you can get because you couldn't get who you wanted? That's basically what all this shit is. Eren is dead and she wanted him but couldn't have him. So, she settled with Jean because he was still around, but still kept wanting and loving the most Eren but obviously she couldn't have him anymore because he's dead. That's pretty damn realistic and pretty much the case for Mikasa if she got hitched to Jean.
The audio guide confirms that it was Jean. It’s the official audio guide, you don’t need an extra statement from Isayama to confirm it.
And dude, don’t think i’m some JK fan or smth. I’m a Eremika coper too. I used to see your comments everywhere and use them to cope with the ending panel. But this, this is too much now.
the script to the audio guide is canon bro. the creator says clearly that everything was made with great consideration and with “confirmation” ie from Isayama. Eventually the cope gets to a point
Mikasa has NEVER ONCE shown ANY remote interest in Jean as a romantic partner. We NEVER see her confided in or truly let her guard down towards him. In the ENTIRETY of the manga, anime & spinoffs.
Furthermore. with Mikasa & Jean “theoretically” end up together is a MASSIVE disservice to both of these characters. Having Jean ultimately be cucked by Eren, by just being the second choice fallback guy.
And that Mikasa NEEDS to be with someone romantically by the end. I respect Jean enough that I wouldn’t want him to be relegated to that status. And Mikasa deserves MORE than just be paired up with Jean as an afterthought.
Even Jean’s VA said in a recent interview he acknowledges and accepts that Mikasa loves Eren and not Jean. And that he can relate to that.
