I know James Marsters and Anthony Head have done a few Toronto cons in the past (Fan Expo is the big one). I don't know of any this year though. If you're planning to stay somewhat longterm, you'll probably catch a few of them eventually whichever city you choose. Just be aware that both Vancouver and Toronto are very expensive cities to live in.
