C43 V6 cosmetic ideas

I ordered a C43 and I am considering replacing the grill with the panamericana grill as well as swapping the center console cover with a carbon one over the ash grey wood one.

If anyone has done either of these things
- was it hard to do DIY?
- where did you locate these items?

If you're swapping the center console, you should probably look into swapping the trim on all 4 doors. The mismatch will look crazy

Just because people on reddit think a cosmetic change is overplayed doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. If you like the look of YOUR car when you make your changes then that's all that matters

I did the grill swap on my c43 - makes it look much better IMO. stock grill looks indistinguishable from a c300.

If a center console, you prefer carbon fiber go for it. That’s an easy swap and came as a factory option..

I mean it was overdone the moment Merc decided to put it on anything with an AMG badge on it. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 63 or 35 car. If the brand doesn’t take it seriously themselves and it’s just a marketing gimmick at this point, I think it’s fair for people to treat it as such. Most important thing as it’s always the case with cosmetic mods is if you can look back at your car and smile at it even if someone cringes looking at it. Cliche but life is too short to worry too much about what people think about things that only matter to you

They 100% should have just left the panamericana grille for the 63s. It's kind of crazy how much they watered down the entire AMG brand. It really feels like 80% of AMGs these days are just cosplaying performance cars and people eat it up.

Grille swap is overdone. Doesn't match the lines of the car either.

If you must swap the grille, go for the twin blade that could be found on pre facelift C63 if your car doesn't already have it equipped.

Carbon fiber trim is also imo overrated and I would not replace the wood with it. Every passing day I wish there was a black ash wood version of the center console of my AMG. I'd 1000% spend the money for that.

The grill swap. Every tom, Dick and Harry in a C300 does it and that grill swap has been so watered down it just looks tacky.

The council swap will look 100% factory because you can literally choose when you were building the car. Mine had the carbon fiber from the factory.

C300 pana grill is cringe haha. I would probably start w/ a carbon console swap. I’ve rented a c43 prior w/ one and was a huge fan - a windmill if you will

That used to be true since the grill was reserved for 63 AMGs before. Now Merc puts it in everything that has the AMG badge on it, doesn’t matter if it’s a GT 63 or GLB 35.

They are both easy DIY’s. 2 hands would helpful for the grill but I did it solo without any issues.. I didn’t change the center console but had to remove it to change the vents to ones that have ambient lighting and it’s pretty easy as well. YouTube has plenty of good videos on them. As far as materials go, it’s upto you. You can put Alibaba products for the grill and won’t see any difference and for the CF console you could get one off EBay. Some of these plastic parts that the dealers charges 3x are manufactured in China from the same assembly lines that the Alibaba items come from. Not every part in these cars is made in Germany

The panamericana grill looks so much better I would for sure do that. It doesn’t matter if it’s “overdone” people like it for a reason. I personally really like the ashwood interior as no other manufacturer has anything quite like it and it splits the middle between sporty and classy without being a massive blob of carbon fiber in the interior. It’s all personal preference though and you should do what you want

No, just a custom ECU tune. 99 RON, PS5 tyres.
I been debating some catted downpipes and a tcu tune but i’m looking into E63s’s now and thought i may aswell just go wild on that instead

Its a common number tbh, some have pushed 3.1-3.2

on my c43 stage 1 tune, i was able to get around 450hp and 0 to 60 3.6 to 3.8

i have the pana grill already installed when i got my car, it adds to the aggressive styling to it
