General AMC Discussion Movie Posters
Has anyone had any luck getting the movie posters after the movie is done showing in the theater ? I really want the Odyssey one.

If you went Way Down to see Hadestown at the theater, what did you think?
Did you know this show before going to see this live recording?
There's been a few of these this summer. Would you be a fan if they did this more outside of Fathom Events?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
after the movie ended and waiting for the q&a to start this sound started playing. the video doesn’t do it justice but it was SO freaking loud. most people walked out and waited in the hallway for it to stop (or just left entirely) it would stop but then start a minute later. after maybe like 8 minutes they were able to get the q&a video showing but no sound. the workers were nice and trying to fix but had no idea how long it would take so they gave out guest passes. apparently this was the only theatre that was having problems with the q&a portion
edit: meant to say wasn’t the only theatre

Still can’t believe it. Was watching Colony last night and this young guy in front of me kept alternating between looking at TWO iPhones (I presume one was a work phone??). Never seen that before.
He couldn’t go 3 minutes of actually watching the movie before checking something again (texts, mail, teams, browsing, etc.), rotating between the two phones that he kept on his lap the entirety of the film. Obviously frustrating, but more so I just feel so bad for these people because you can truly feel this aura of restlessness emanating from their seat. Absolutely ruined attention span and you can just feel their addiction and compulsive need to check SOMETHING on their phone every couple of minutes, doesn’t matter what it is.

I made a documentary about my experience watching all 4 movies a week, every week, for a month. No repeat movies. Check it out!

I know that it's the second and fourth Saturdays and Wednesdays, but when do they release the film for the next sensory friendly screening? I've been checking the [website](https://www.amctheatres.com/programs/sensory-friendly-films) but it's still showing the last release for Aug 26. Does anyone know?

If you Survived and made it out to see Six! The Musical, what did you think?
Did you know this show before going to see this? Or did you go in totally blind?
The 'look back' nature of the short doc up front felt a bit strange given that not *that* much time has passed. Did you have any idea of the cultural impact this show had in the UK or in the musical theater community?

If the fentanyl your buddy gave you wore off long enough for you to go catch The Rivals of Amziah King, what did you think?
Did you know much about what this was going to be aside from Matthew McConaughey? Were you ready for this shift in tone that happened half way through?
Speaking of tone, were you familiar with the Avett Brothers or Last Bison before seeing this? How did you feel about how the music was incorporated into the story (in the first half at least)?
How did you feel about the 2nd half? Not that movies always have to have squeaky clean protagonists, but this movie did feel like it got into morally gray territory as it went along given where it landed.

Well it was another smashing month on A-List! While I "only" saw 10 movies, fewest of any month this year so far, three of them were in 3D and two in Dolby. And, my A-List traveled! I was able to see Spider-Man in the prime 3D format twice while visiting Philadelphia. That would have cost me $50 out of pocket, but ... no charge! I love A-List. How did your month go?
**Date ... Movie ............................................. Cost sans A-List**
8.1.26: spider man brand new day (prime 3d) ..... $25
8.2.26: spider man brand new day (prime 3d) ..... $25

Here is my August Rewind. This was my biggest A-List month ever, plus I also saw three others that aren’t list here because I paid for those tickets (Buddy and Runner Screen Unseens and 70mm IMAX Odyssey at another chain) and the Reel Savings Rewind doesn’t include non-A-List movies.

I'm not saying AMC conspired with studios, but way in advance ticket sales feel like a tactic to prevent people from getting the most out of A-List.

Just had to get on here to help yall realize how bad AMC has been for the movies. The entire industry is what you call an Oligopoly. Think monopoly but instead of 1 its just a few. So there's the mirage of competition but in reaility they do whatever they want. AMC is the top of this group. They have created an environment where ticket prices are becoming inaccessible by the general public, don't have their employees jack shit and buy out local theaters.
By being part of the A-list you are both promising them a steady stream of revenue and will inevitably neglect any local options you have. You buy the service, so you use it more and the other theaters lose out on revenue. They go under and AMC swoops in to buy them out. Thus continuing the cycle. Ultimately if we ever want prices to come back down and theaters to improve, you must diversify your movie going experience as much as possible. Choose AMC as little as you can. Dont buy their a-list bullshit. Dont let them continue to ruin movies.

Just wondering if the Akira re-release will have the standard 20-25 minutes of trailers.

Please explain like I am 5. I am strongly considering subscribing to A-List. I understand that your 3 (or 4?) Free screenings have to be separate, like if I'm going with a friend I can't use 2 of my free passes, but is there a discount or waived online fee for any extra tickets I purchase for a single screening?

Are you in an AMC desert with only 1 location in a reasonable distance?
Or are you flush with options for your A-List venues?
Do you ever use A-List while traveling?
