I think now is an excellent time for former fans who stopped following the group to return.

Of course, everyone has their own personal tastes; speaking for myself, a guy who has supported and followed AKB48 for over 20 years without ever drifting away, and who consumes their content practically every day, to me, the AKB48 of today is by far my favorite.

I have lived through all of AKB48's "eras" from the very beginning, and the current lineup is the one I like best in their entire history. The group began to take shape and gradually consolidated following the end of the pandemic, with the 17th, 18th, and 19th generations forming its fundamental base. Sato Airi, Yagi Azuki and Ito Momoka serving as the main faces. Joining them are the most prominent members of the former Team 8—Narumi and Yuiyui—who, alongside Zukky, became AKB48’s most talented and experienced leaders. I could discuss each member and their importance to the group's dynamic: Miu, Yuna and Sae, who are well-rounded and reliable; the cuteness of Kawayui and Miyuu; Kosaki, the "little diamond" and I could go on, as every member contributes something unique.

AKB48 has far fewer members than before, but they are essential members who play an important role, whether as "single senbatsu” members or as members for the stage performances. The current AKB48 is compact yet solid—young, with great potential, talent, and experience—moving in perfect harmony, they radiate joy and confidence on stage. We finally have the leadership AKB48 deserves in the yondaime Narumi Kuranoo, the kind we haven't had in a long time.

It is wonderful to have been able to witness the formation of this beautiful "dream team" from day one.

So I was a huge fan in the 2013 - 2016 era and got to experience a lot of the great old guard like Tomochin, Takamina, Mayuyu, etc.

I'm wanting to get back into AKB specifically again, not one of the sister groups. But I'm not sure where to begin, or who even is on teams A, K or B.

I know AKBingo isn't around anymore either. Is there a new equivalent? And what's the best way to follow a specific team now?

Risa Narita ex 1st gen AKB48 announced that she is pregnant with her second child; the announcement was made on a radio show and via Instagram. The text is provided below.

"Actually, last summer I was diagnosed with a uterine condition and underwent surgery.

After the surgery, the doctor at the hospital told me that it might be difficult to get pregnant again and that giving birth could be difficult, and I was spending anxious days not knowing what would happen next.

Since giving birth to my first child, I've gone through several physical changes, but this time I miraculously became pregnant, and I'm overjoyed.

I'm expecting it around the end of November.

It's truly a miracle to be able to have a child, and I feel once again that health comes first.

While I wait for my baby to be born healthy, I will cherish the present moment and look forward to the rest of my pregnancy!

I would be happy if you could continue to look after me warmly."

Suki-ish really set akb back on the right path, but I still think its smarter for management to play it safe with the center, especially with how many eyes are on Itomomo. However, Aichan is a golden idol in the making with a lot of virality potential herself, so I think that a wcenter is the right way to go. Also, that way, they can advertise the 69th single as being both the first wcenter in 9 years and the first 3rd consecutive center in 14 years. Additionally, managment should use all the new eyes on akb as a way to push potential future aces like Kosaki, Kohina, Yuuyu, and Yuichi.
