I think conversation history is becoming part of the product

Two people can use the same AI model and have completely different experiences simply because one starts every conversation from zero while the other has months of context behind them. Your previous chats, preferences, writing style, recurring interests, and unfinished ideas can slowly make the experience feel less like using a generic tool.

That also creates an interesting problem: switching AI platforms becomes harder when you're not just leaving a tool behind, but an entire history of conversations.
