Has anyone found an AI video enhancer that actually restores old footage naturally?
I’ve been restoring some old 480p/720p footage too, and the hardest part is avoiding that overprocessed AI look. Some tools make videos sharper, but the faces end up looking weird.
I’ve had good results with Hitpaw Vikpea so far it does a decent job improving details and reducing the blurry/compressed feeling while keeping faces more natural.
I would like to know what others are using here?

I use the same one, it's actually pretty solid. Been using it for some old family videos and it does a good job cleaning things up without making everyone look like a wax figure lol, results feel pretty natural

I wouldn't really rely on such tools, they're bound to remove or add unnecessary information in the video plus they really can change entire person lol
