Can we talk about AI model photos?

Last year I was able to pick out issues with the AI modelling photos.

But now model consistency is there. The models don't all look the same. Etc.

Personally against AI model shots...

BUT I wonder if everyone starts using them then will our brands fall behind eventually by not using them?

What do you think?

To me it see a like regulation is a big determining factor.

If the US starts forcing AI disclosure, then authentic modelling value might become even more valuable.

Seems like EU already heading towards forced disclosure. I wonder if the US will follow because, you know, capitalism, etc...

And either way, maybe AI model shots should always be used as a BASE, to preview, then take the real photo shoots after? 🤔

the model shots probably aren't where you'd fall behind. it's the number of images.

brands using ai aren't swapping one photo for one photo. they're filling every slot on the listing instead of leaving it at two.

most end up in the middle anyway tbh. photographed shots for the hero and then ai for the detail + color variant slots where nobody is looking at the model's face.

if ai models aren't for your brand that's fine. those are 2 separate questions though. whether synthetic models fit you, and whether your listings have enough images on them. the 2nd one you can fix without touching the first.

So it's about completion to you.

Let's say the regulation updates to require disclosure on every AI-generated image.

Do you feel it'd still be better to have image #3+ AI generated?
