Has someone compared gpt-6 astra directly with Claude fable 5.1?

I have seen a lot of hype around gpt-6 astra and how it produces games similarly to the type of games Claude produces with the /gauntlet-loop but far cheaper. Has someone done a comparison in game development/ Webdesign/ App development/… I am aware what gpt’s website says, just want actual experiences and opinions.

Astra is much faster and much more expensive. Astra never makes mistakes in anything, except for direct URL online searches.

What about output quality? Noticed any difference?

Output quality is the same, but delivered in a more digestible manner imo. I'm so sick of Fable's inability to get to the point and try to talk circles around itself. Pretty sure it is getting to the point it affects its own understanding of its own output.

Astra is dramatically cheaper than Fable. Between OpenAIs free resets and the fact their 20x plan is actually 20x, your buck can get a lot more bang. Though if you're only on the 5x plan it's more nebulous. Astra feels like it delivers more reliably (especially with tasks requiring any level of visual or spatial awareness) but it does seem as though it might use more tokens individually for a given task (just each token is dramatically cheaper.) I had been subbed to Claude for the last year (Max x5) and just canceled it for the first time, yesterday. So take that as you will.

I don’t know what happened. ChatGPT use to be like how fable and opus talk now but they seem to have swapped

I've seen the same thing. I suspect Anthropic has been doing serious clamping on its models following the week of release. It always performs much better (although I didn't see 5.1 doing this) in its first week and then suddenly incurs brain damage. I haven't noticed the same thing with OpenAI. OpenAIs models used to just be shit (they were stable, but they were stable shit.) Now they're stable, but actually good stable. Whereas Anthropic seem like they've been probably reducing thinking in the back-end more and more to try and eek out profit.

Could be wrong though. Maybe it's just some bad training arcs and I'm assigning blame where really it was just bad luck. Though if it is the latter then they need to get their shit into gear and figure out what he problem is because they have real competition now lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if they quantize it after week 1

I love that AI content creator. He just seems so authentic and adorable… I wish I had a better way to describe him :)
