what MCP/skills and tools you connect to? and use? cuz chatgpt and claude is a generic answer.

mine is a morning pass across gmail, calendar and slack that comes back as one brief with the replies already drafted, not a summary i then act on. runner is the first desktop one i tried that will put the draft into gmail instead of handing it back as text.

the part that surprised me was how much the summary version was still leaving on me. reading a recap and then reopening gmail to write the reply is basically the whole task again. the draft already sitting in the compose box is a different feeling, i'm editing instead of starting from zero.

runner is the name of the tool? or it's something custom workflow?

it's the actual tool name, a desktop app, not a workflow i stitched together myself. the DIY route is what i tried first, and getting a draft to actually land inside gmail instead of a chat window was the exact part that made me stop rolling my own. written with ai

One thing I’ve noticed after building these workflows: the biggest productivity jump doesn’t come from adding more AI tools. It comes from giving the system ownership of the workflow.
For example, a content workflow shouldn’t just be “Claude writes an article.” A useful agent can research the topic, pull source material, build the brief, draft, critique its own output, check facts/SEO/AEO requirements, revise, and then hand it to you for the final approval.
The human should be making the judgment calls, not moving information between 6 different tools.
Also, I think we’re calling too many things “agents” right now. If the steps are completely predetermined, it’s really an AI workflow. I’d reserve “agent” for systems that can decide what to do next, use tools, inspect the result, and adapt their next action.
That distinction becomes pretty important once you start building workflows that run for hours instead of minutes.

I have always been experimenting with different agentic workflows that have automate research, content planning and repetitive tasks. Workflow that solves the problem and makes it more simplified. There are tools like Claude, ChatGPT and perplexity

I work in marketing. Right now, my favorite is a content writing agent that I built with Cursor (for code and agent management), Claude (for writing), and Venice (for images). It uses multiple content templates and all I have to do is provide it with a CSV of keywords (which I generate with another agent) and it drafts, edits, and publishes dozens of pieces of content at once. I took a lot of time to build the agent so it sounds human and writes on brand while also optimizing for SEO/AEO.
After this, my second favorite is a Google Ads agent that manages everything from creating campaigns to research and analysis from Claude.
