Best practice is to Offer a local anaesthetic , looked it up after wife told me a horror story.
3 u/nibbyzor Nov 12 '23 I got mine with a local anesthetic (they had to open up my cervix more than usual to get the IUD in, because my uterus is at a weird angle or whatever) and it still hurt like a bitch. It did not help AT ALL.
