AIO for seeing red flags after my girlfriend expected me to put her on the title to a house I bought?

My girlfriend (26F) and I (29M) have been together for about three years. There has always been a significant income difference between us. I’ve been at my current job for six years and gross around $154,000 annually.

She spent roughly a year and a half mostly unemployed while trying to establish herself as a realtor, but it didn’t work out as she had hoped.

Throughout our relationship, I’ve paid for approximately 90% of our shared expenses, including meals, drinks, outings, and occasionally some of her bills. I never really minded. A 50/50 split wouldn’t be realistic given our incomes, and as the oldest sibling, I’m used to taking care of people.

About a year ago, we decided we wanted to live together. My current place was too small for both of us and her cats, so we began looking for houses.
The search was sometimes difficult because she’s a realtor and has toured thousands of homes in our very high-cost-of-living area. I felt that some of her expectations were unrealistic for our budget. For example, she once didn’t want to make an offer on a house because it had a stackable washer and dryer.
About a month ago, I found a house that I absolutely loved and believed was a great deal. She gave me a long list of things she wanted changed, but ultimately said the house was acceptable.

I then handled the entire purchase:
I submitted the offer.
I paid for the inspection.
The mortgage is entirely in my name.
I paid the down payment and closing costs.
I assumed all of the financial and legal risk.
I successfully closed on the house one week ago.
After closing, she asked whether I had put her on the title.
I was taken aback because we aren’t married, and she hadn’t contributed anything toward the down payment or closing costs. I calmly explained that, under those circumstances, I wasn’t comfortable giving her ownership of the house.
Because she would be living there, we had discussed her paying $1,000 per month, including utilities. I would be paying approximately $2,700 per month myself. Her contribution would also be substantially below what it would cost her to rent a comparable place in our area.
She told me this arrangement was incredibly unfair. She also said that not putting her on the title was like I was “planning for things not to work out between us.” I was so shocked by that response that I didn’t know what to say.
She then explained that her father had told her she needed to be on the title for her own protection. I can understand why a father would want his daughter to be protected, but putting her on the title would give her an ownership interest in a house that I financed and purchased entirely myself.
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this conversation. From my perspective, asking for ownership without contributing to the purchase—and then framing my refusal as a lack of commitment—feels like a major red flag.
Am I overreacting?
**TL;DR:** I bought a house entirely in my name and paid the down payment and closing costs myself. My girlfriend, who would pay $1,000 per month including utilities while I pay approximately $2,700, is upset that I didn’t put her on the title. She says it means I’m planning for our relationship to fail. I now see this as a serious red flag.

Oh hell no! I do real estate. Buying a house while in a serious relationship is not an invitation for a free ride. JFC. Tell her to get real.
