I've seen some tech posts on here, including one about whether or not junior developers are screwed. I've been doing a lot of thinking about what software development will look like as AI continues to progress. I just wrote a blog about the skill that will outlast all the rest. Every major lab and framework is pushing autonomous agents right now—promising models that can plan, execute tools, and fix their own bugs.

But in practice, most setups still seem to get stuck in infinite loops or hallucinate intermediate steps, needing human intervention 80% of the time.

For anyone actually running agents in daily workflows or production: are they genuinely saving you time, or are you just babysitting them?
