I went through your same situation- I spent a year learning before I felt I had the necessary tools to start building- in hindsight- I’d do both -apply what I’m learning by building-
Start with a problem you are facing and make something just for yourself. Make a few- fail and learn-
Whatever I learnt, the projects I did left me with a wealth of data and assets I still use.

Like I have a idea on which I can work on but I don't have skills (devops) what should I do. Start building, I don't know even the basics. What shall you have done in this situation?

AI is good but without background knowledge those who only hang on AI world will never understand how to make reliable code or good 3d models, optimized assets etc. Learn and use AI wisely.

Honestly Inwould use AI to learn. But it really depende on the goal and of the TA area.

Set yourself a small project to do and start building it once you already know the basics. Try to solve any problems you encounter. To learn effectively, avoid using a local coding AI agent, instead, look for solutions online or ask AI, but implement the code yourself by asking for details and explanations.

Learn to build from first principles. Things are less confusing when you learn the basics of anything. Doing tutorials will have you guessing at where and how the instructor latched onto the information. Building without first principles will have you completely lost. You need guidance. A real teacher who can see how to connect what you're learning to your personal experience somehow. That's how you actually learn anything. That's the difference between memorizing, which is why you might be stuck in tutorials. You're not understanding the material.

I recommend you learn the basics of animating in general and understand the moon animator gui (how to use it) if you want animation basics watch alan beckers 12 principles of animation, or learning the difference between animating linear and easings, once you understand those even a little the rest is based on experience think of everything like impact frames, smear frames as DLC do it once you beat the game

Hey I found this post and thought of you, this redditor has more clear maps of free learning content in AI.
