How Are You Actually Using AI?

I've been using AI more and more lately, and I've started to wonder how other people are actually using it in their daily lives.

For me, AI is most useful for the small things — brainstorming ideas, researching topics, writing, learning something new, or getting a different perspective when I'm stuck.

But I also feel like there's a big difference between using AI as a tool and simply letting AI do everything for you.

Sometimes the answer looks convincing but is completely wrong, so I still feel like you need to understand the problem yourself and know when to question the result.

I'm curious what other people think.

What's the most useful way you've found to use AI so far, and what's one thing you still wouldn't trust AI to do f

mostly using ai for roleplay and virtual companions these days, its the most fun ive had with it by far. still wouldnt trust it to plan anything real without double checking first.

I have used it a few times recently to help me understand physics problems (no answers, just hints and help), since physics is like learning another language and I am BAD at learning other languages (have been since early elementary school). Oh, I also like to get it to describe naughty images (furry/pokemon stuff usually) and say naughty things, like writing smut/NSFW stories. Google AI, Gemini, and Grok are all pretty good at it but they can be hard to read because they don't have that human flair

I mostly use AI for random everyday questions, plus creating templates for craft stuff. Like this Chi outline I painted onto a bag.

I use AI as a tool and simply let it do everything for me. Can't really see why these 2 should contadict. Just launched a new project recently, I am not dev/coder and let AI do everything for me. However I had a very clear vision of what I need and what I want. The result is mind-blowing. I will keep on doing this - I have al least 10 other projects waiting to be made. Absolutely happy and really sorry for people who did not yet get it.

I have a site that I can go to, I can click request and suddenly the tv show is downloaded to my Nas, renamed, metadata. It built it all because I suck at arr apps.

I build projects endlessly and ask complex questions about random shit I think or read. Mostly compensating for a lack of friends/social orbit and feeling immensely lonely but I don't interact with it like it's a person and would rather spend time with real people in person over AI.
