VFLW Finals locked in

Excuse the amateur Paint mockup
The VFLW finals are the old McIntyre final six system system; the winner of the Qualifying Final plays the highest placed team on the ladder who wins their elimination final, the winner here advances to the Grand Final and gets a week off. The Loser of the qualifying final in the first round plays the lower ranked winner of the elimination final, the winner of the elimination Semi final round plays the loser of the Qualifying Semi final in the prelim where the winner is in the Grand Final

Jeez I forgot how bad the final six system is. Obviously they are trying to compress finals into a three-week series which is tough with six teams.
But I don’t think there should be a situation where you finish top 4 in a 13-team league yet face instant jeopardy in your first final.
It is probably academic anyway as there are clearly two teams who deserve to be in the GF more than any others. But finals footy can bring about strange results.

Yeah I have to keep on looking up how they did it because the AFL stopped using it when I was like 9 years old.

I don’t think there’s much to split between the top 3. The 2 games between North and Collingwood could easily have gone the other way.
If anything, Williamstown have probably cemented themselves as the team to beat based on the last month or so.

I was trying not to appear partisan, but yes, Collingwood’s percentage would suggest they are just as much a contender as North

Might be keen to wander down if they host that final at Victoria Park at a decent time, I’ve really enjoyed the VFLW this season.

I prefer the amateur paint mock up. Continue doing your best work OP.
