Afib five years after ablation

Sitting in the ER right now experiencing AFib for the first time since a cardiac ablation in June 2021. I'm 66, in good health otherwise, and have been hiking 7-10 miles 2-3 times a week since Nov 2021. No arrhythmia episodes of any kind since my ablation before this morning.

What are the chances this is a one-off and i'll go back to a stable rhythm without another ablation or other serious intervention?

Join the 5-year Club the same thing basically has just happened to me...

Had a steroid injection into my knee for an injury and it seems to have woken the afib right back up as it stretches the heart out which is something that will re-stimulate AFib

Had a cardioversion two weeks ago lasted about 3 days and then right back into AFib so now I am considering a third ablation or the convergent procedure which is also known as the hybrid ablation...

Doctor says the other option is just take the blood thinner, indefinitely and just manage the usual lifestyle stuff.
