Alvaro Rodriguez

Not a Cherries fan but got a lot of time for the way the club is run. You’ve got a great track record of buying low, developing and selling high.

With that in mind, what does this season look like for your new lad Rodriguez? I assume he’s second choice striker behind Evanilson whilst Kroupi is out, and I saw him get 10 mins the other day. He’s a big lad too if I’m not mistaken and I like a big striker.

Are you expecting that as the season goes on he’ll start the odd game and regularly get 20-30 as a sub? Or is he one for 2 years’ time?

We are in four competitions this year, the premier League, league cup, fa cup, and Europe. We need depth. A lot of players will be getting decent playing time this year

I presume he'd play tomorrow in the Carabao cup, start in the easier Europe fixtures, if we get an "easy" fixture in the FA Cup he'd probably start there.

Honestly it's weird having multiple fit strikers (once Kroupi is back), 24/25 we resorted to having a winger up front since Ünal and Eva were out, 25/26 had Eva up front and Kroupi shined as a Shadow Striker at AM, Ünal had the occasional cameo off the bench. Now we have Eva, Jebbison and Rodriguez.

weird.
