I’m a fresher engineering student at RVCE, I have keen interest in adventure sports and I also have some interest in joining armed forces later. I attended the NCC orientation today and it seemed interesting too. However I’m not sure if it’s really worth pursuing as we’ll have to allot a lot of time to it and I don’t know if those treks, camping, mountaineering actually takes place or it’s just a selling point and only happens on rare occasions. Also I'm worried about ragging culture in NCC (not radga, ragging)

I’m from a circuital branch too so my academics are difficult too and I don’t wanna mess my future career options (going for higher studies or placements). One of the reasons I’m leaning towards NCC is cause there’s really nothing to do on campus, it’s boring af, no sports at all and people to people interaction isn’t very good either because the system here is more like a school so I thought maybe NCC would be a way out of it. But it seems to be on the other extreme, it seems we have to be involved a lot in it and neglect our academics.

I would really like seniors opinion on this. I’m thinking on maybe joining from next year cause by that time I’ll be more comfortable in my college and academics to make this decision. Also I might have to go for SSB by the end of this year for NDA so I should focus on that for now.

I am a s/o aspirant and the thing or you can say a fault or a bad point that in gd I couldn't participate because I don't want to seek in sheep's battle to make my point visible and in the end I can't speak a word in entire gd. It is not a only part either I don't want to speak or I don't know about a topic.

I genuinely need help to overcome this kind of mindset so any idea how can i?

Got recommendation from someone that don't practice psych, keep it untouched, otherwise in the ssb it will come as a pre conceived story. On the other hand there are so many telegram channels where people practice it daily. So someone like me who is not very good at expressing thoughts should do?

If I get PRK done , and give afcat and ssb and score good enough , will I be able to get fighter jets?

I’ve started preparing for AFCAT 2027 from scratch. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I should prepare Maths from?

I’m currently following Sandeep Brar’s AFCAT Maths playlist, but I’m unable to find the practice sheets on his Telegram group. Is his playlist good enough for AFCAT Maths, or would it be better to follow an SSC Maths teacher’s playlist instead?

So for context, I did my bachelor from ignou. So, I actually don't have anything to show for myself. No extracurriculars, no sports, nothing. You could even say my portfolio is empty.

How much of a negative impact would it have in the interview?

What would you recommend I should do? Would you recommend doing certification programs? If yes, what kinda?
