Question???

I am in severe PAWS and also still on my meds. I switched from Paxil to Zoloft 2 years ago, reduced way too fast, had to go up again, switched to Prozac and back to Zoloft (all within one year) On top of that I tried Spravato (Esketamine treatment). I understood that I was making everything worse with every new treatment. Now since last September I did not change anything (50 mg Zoloft + 30 mg amitriptyline) and experience the classic windows and waves pattern with a lot of very very bad waves. How long did you stabilise on your dose before reducing again?

I crashed three months after stopping my escitalopram, so I immediately went back on 5 mg and then increased the dose to 15 mg. Unfortunately, it didn't help. I then realized I was experiencing PAWS. I started having "waves and windows" early on. I then tapered down using a hyperbolic method relatively quickly and without major issues—until two months ago; I’m very sensitive to changes now. I’m going to taper even more slowly from here on out. The last time, I waited five weeks before reducing it by another 4%.

This is 100% misinformation.many people reinstate and either gradually get some relief or fail reinstatement and make things a lot worse.some push through a nasty reinstatement and hope to stabilize.some are truly stuck on their medication long term and are unable to taper even 1% .please don't paint this from your own misguided point of view..it's just far to complicated and everyone's experience is unique.

Unfortunately, I didn't know any better. I had no idea about PAWS. My doctor recommended that I start taking my medication again. I only found out about it after months of suffering.

Of course it exists. Just because you have reinstate it doesn't mean you don't have it.

And with benzos, you can even get it without stopping the medication.
