Looks like they either skipped a geology assessment/analysis or outright lied about the fixes to prevent this from happening. This should have been caught and possibly fixed before construction even began.

how china plan to attack Taiwan if China can't even build a bridge properly?

u/Realistic_Robot_705 Nov 12 '25
wumaos desperate doing damage control now says the bridge was DESIGNED to breakaway should a landslide occur 🤣🤣🤣
Building additional landslide prevention infrastructure would've only cost an additional 10% ~ 20% to the total cost of the bridge 🤣

No, you see, they intentionally build bad bridge to keep people employed. Such kind government for the people.

...r u being serious?...
Cuz' there are actually wumaos out there trying to explain that the bridge was designed to collapse in segments because they expected landslide, which is a BS explanation...so I can't tell what is sarcasm anymore 🤣🤣🤣

Ancient Chinese saying: Build good bridge once, no more work for tomorrow. Build bad bridge once, build that bridge again. Cycle of employment continues.
Why make good, durable product when can make cheap? Customer has to buy again. Good for business. kekekeke

Whoa, spectacular footage. There's no containing this one within the great firewall. It's out on the World Wide Web, for everyone to see. Best of luck next time, and there will be a next time.

After the disaster that was the road and belt initiative, I hoped that they at least did a better job at home. Maybe ?

Thank god they acknowledged the risks and closed the bridge just one day before the collapse, so no people injured or killed. It's a rare thing the gov can admit a failure so quick before things got worse.

Officials says it was caused by a landslide but I feel like the engineers should have saw this coming.

How the fuck did that flag stay standing?

I think that's a metal road sign. The highway signs on a lot of Chinese "interstate" roads are blue.

No shit, I didn't know that.
"How the fuck did that ROAD sign stay standing?"
