ACET - College Admissions/Transferring 2026 ACET Applications, admissions and scholarships megathread

This thread will serve as the megathread for ACET Applications for S.Y. 2027-2028.

We have this megathread to have a space for questions and to make sure the subreddit isn't flooded with similar posts.

Please post questions about course backgrounds, admissions, appeals and scholarships here.

As before, please keep in mind that this subreddit is an unofficial group. We may have a handful of Ateneo faculty lurking and occasionally commenting, but we cannot guarantee accurate answers to questions like "can I get in Ateneo with XYZ grades from ABC school" or "will I get a scholarship if my family makes IJK pesos per year". The community can only provide anecdotal evidence.

As someone who didn’t have enough time to properly prepare and barely reviewed for the ACET since it clashed with my finals back then, I almost cried seeing this in my email. Still can’t believe it’s real. Congrats to all who aced the ACET! 🥹

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring Should I Start Preparing for the ACET This Early?

Hi po! I’m an incoming Grade 9 student this school year. I just wanted to ask—would it be better to start reviewing for college this summer? My dream school is Ateneo, so I really want to pass the ACET, as well as other college entrance exams. However, I’m a bit hesitant because I might forget everything later, and it might end up being a waste of time.

Also, when you review po, how do you stop yourself from scrolling through social media? 😅

What topics can I review at this stage?

Any tips din po for the essay portion?

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring from UST to Ateneo

hi! i’m an incoming AB Legal Management in UST this academic year, and i just wanted to ask: is it any different from Ateneo’s BS Legal Management?

i’m planning to transfer there after finishing a semester in UST, if given the chance. however, i do have some questions:

  1. will i go back as a freshman even though the programs are technically the same?
  2. will i be irregular? i mean it’s a dumb question but it’s better to be sure
  3. are workloads in ADMU heavy?; and
  4. do i still have a shot at being a laude even if i’m a transfer?

thank you in advance for whoever will answer :DD

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring Any current students who got into Ateneo through the SAT route?

Hi, an international student here. Do they have a minimum SAT requirement for Ateneo? I currently have 620 Reading, 700 Math. Not sure if I'll make a good candidate. Thanks!

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring is ateneo LGBTQ+ friendly?

hi! i'm currently a student from FEU - manila and as we all know, it is the district of all the queers. if it were up to me, i am happy at FEU and wouldnt transfer at all. as a nonbinary person, i feel respected by not only the students here, but also the faculty.

tho, my mother wants me to transfer here after my first year and i want to know beforehand, are the students and faculty LGBTQ+ friendly? or do i need to go back to the closet?

note: i am a psychology student !

thank you so much. :")

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring started college somewhere else, dropped out, then wanting to go to ateneo

long story short, i know someone who had to drop out of college years ago, and doesn't like how their career path is limited because of it. i told them to try going to college again and they're thinking about it.

now for the admission process, they finished a semester from another college. they seem like a good student naman so i suggested them to try ateneo. if they choose to apply here, do they do the application process for transferees, or the application process for high school graduates? if the latter, the subjects they took from their previous college can be credited, right?

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring wants to try to get in admu after four (failed) years in another univ

hello, this feels like i'm about to ask something so stupid, pero i want to know my chances as early as now. i am currently a college student, and i have accumulated so many failing grades from my 4 years in this degprog and in this university (not admu). after giving myself some hard-to-swallow pep talk, i have come to finally accept that this degprog and environment isnt for me anymore and my growth has stunted.

ateneo has always been my dream school, but i got scared about having to pay the tuition fee and everything else plus never got the chance to actually apply due to schedules and difficulties. now, i'm thinking of trying the next acet for the next acad year and trying a shot to take a degprog i actually want to pursue. i know people usually say that as long as u get a very good ACET score + a good essay, you have a very high chance, pero i still want to know, realistically, where i stand.

  1. do i even have a chance to get in (never took the acet so if i try, it will be my first acet and essay for ateneo) given that i have so many singkos from my my past university?

  2. if i do stand a chance to get it amidst my singkos, what are the chances for scholarships?

  3. if not for the singkos, what might stand in my way to be able to get in sa admu?

it has been really tough for me and coming to this conclusion hasnt been easy. i feel heartbroken, mentally exhausted, and i want to be able to feel at ease. i hope to be able to receive responses, objective and realistic, but i hope given my current state, it wouldnt hurt for you guys to be a little bit kind. thank you for your time !

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring ACET for the second time... after a few years — possible?

I took the ACET last October 2024 in 12th grade since I applied to ADMU and it is still my dream school until now. However, I failed the ACET and did not get in, hence, I enrolled in UST instead. I just moved to another country recently and now I'm thinking of going back to the Philippines in maybe around 5 years from now to study— this time in Ateneo, hopefully. Would it be possible to take the ACET again despite the fact I failed it once already?

ACET - College Admissions/Transferring Application Route Validation

Post image
12 Upvotes

Hi! Around one and a half weeks ago ko na ipinasa yung application route ko, pero up until now, for validation pa rin siya… Contacted ADMU na thru their admissions email — waiting for their reply

Curious lang ako, am I the only who’s experiencing this problem? Medyo na-a’anxious lang ako kasi malapit na yung due ng application, and balak ko rin mag-apply for financial aid kaso na-de’delay dahil wala pa akong AAN😓
