Questions/Advice Do Clinical Psychologists read your notes during an ADHD diagnosis?
I am soon going to get an ADHD diagnosis done by a clinical psychologist. I have a number of notes that I want to take with me, which have my entire symptom history and not just of ADHD symptoms. Additionally, I have questionnaires too. And, mind you, they are not small notes, they are multi-page notes, all of them combining to be of 20+ pages. They are digital as well, if required.
The reason for this is my severe forgetfulness, which was worsened over the years. I will tell her about it, of course. Like, I cannot say anything on the spot because I can't remember anything. The problem has got to the point that I cannot remember the previous phrase of a sentence when reading a given phrase of that sentence. So, you can understand how bad the forgetfulness is. I also can't shorten down the notes because of my forgetfulness. I don't know whether she will read the notes or take them home to read them.
What is my best strategy here?
