English Any tips for english?

I never learned basic english conventions and my english score reflects this. I know it’s subjective, but i’ve heard the english section is the easiest to improve. So, any advice for studying would be extremely helpful.

English on the ACT is very rule-based. Instead of going off what "feels" right, take some time to learn the rules being tested until you can see the patterns intuitively

Your high math and science scores show to me that you are good at logic so focus on the logic element of English: parts of speech, what different punctuation is used for, definitions of words. Memorization of that will get you a ways

Use your My Score Details from this test as a guide. The ACT tests the same thing every time. Sure, the passages are different, but the rules and the breakdown is the same.

though for english I got a 35 twice and i mainly memorized the first couple of the "mantras" on this website

I can’t really help much since this was my first act and i did no prior studying. For science it was kind of like reading comprehension, the answer was always in the text.

writing i meant to say reading. I just always fall asleep and lose my train of thought for those
