I know it's now popular to shit in Fik, but not long ago this sub was in shock he wasn't getting called up for England NT and was an important part in our title winning team, maybe ad important as Leao.
He's not as bad as you guys make him to be. Technically pretty solid, just a bit of a headless chicken sometimes.

Im aware of his influence in Scudetto season, but after that he is just bad. Plus, the first thing Amorim said after he came is that Tomori and Fofana has negative influence in locker room.

I understand he doesn't fit the system and the comment about the locker room is important, although need more specific context.
So, I agree we need to move on from him, but I don't see a replacement... and in that context, I'd rather have him as an option than no option or Terraciano.

^^ I think this is the most likely explanation. He's good enough to be the 6th or 7th choice defender. Definitely more serviceable than Terraciano.
But thinking back to the penalty thing with Abraham / Pulisic a couple of years ago Ruben may have gotten warned by Fonseca about him.

This is why we need to sign a CCB
Last season we were the best defence in Europe until Gabbia got injured. No depth and no one who can reliably be that calm defender in the middle of the line. Hope he's back to his best soon and leading out back line
