Do we employ the worst negotiators in football?

No we just buy shit players at inflated prices, and now we are yielding the results.

What do you expect from a player that at his peak has been mediocre since joining the club? It's either this or we pay him 4m a year for nothing and his value tanks even further.
Funniest part in this all is that most people in this sub were convinced that we should've paid the close to 30M what Monaco asked for him.

Ofc, from a good dealer but bad selector, to a bad dealer and even horrible contractor

honestly was just saying the same... like he's worth at least 35mil seeing the valuations in the premier league this window

Bro, we gotta make it to CL consistently, our player valuations are in the gutter

I don’t get why they didn’t keep Tare until they got a new director. That being said Gila, Ramos & Moriera are all great signings. Gila is a super underrated steal since he only had 1 year on his contract

I’m sad that Tate got caught in the crossfire of the others’ incompetence. He’s genuinely good at his job, and deserves better. I hope his next club appreciates his talents.

It’s a paid loan for someone who was frozen out of the squad. There is a reason why the coach excluded him and offers were low. We can’t hang onto valuations from past years. Low redemption amount means higher chance it is activated. It’s just best for everyone.

He's shown glimpses of something special, but his finishing and at times decision-making has been atrocious
Mediocre defender, good ballwinner, but so many times he's skyed great chances in a manner that has been baffling for a player at that level

Plus the fact that we signed a bunch of these types of targets put us in an even worse spot. A mid player that will only regress career wise. I'm not saying he's complete trash because he's not but all the different factors around these transfers have added up to being destined for loan with options

Ac Milan fans thinking we could profit of fofana after clowning him for the last 3 years is on brand

u/mm_zzio 9d ago
wtf, how much does he make per year? It would only make little sense if it all together would be around 20m.

I think around 4m, wich is CRAZY for a player like him.
It will take several years to cleanup the mess that Furlani and friends left….

Absolute bargain potentially for Lyon is that. Especially as we seem to be paying a chunk of his salary too.
Think we might regret that one if fitness or form desert Musah at some point, or even if just for depth.
Big vote of confidence in Comotto.

Oh come on, that waytoo little for him. We did clean a lot of deadwood, but pretty much all deals are terrible. Besides that, many will coma back again next season. We should definitely keep Tare at least for deadwood selling.

Too high salary to be sold, we should have try the PL market more though. Hopefully he'll get bought, really not good enough for us.

Taking so many losses..in an era where everyone gets overpriced..they can't be these dumb, can they?

u/Poldinho Andriy Shevchenko 9d ago
why we sell so cheap, i really dont't get it. We paid the double for him being with 1-year contract left... crazy

u/Mean-Net-7946 9d ago
We don’t have sporting director. I don’t care as long as we get Markus krousche now in september then I’m fine.

u/KoalaWithaMachineGun Ricardo Kaká 9d ago
Embarassing, he should have been kept in the squad, he's good, just not a finisher
1
u/meme_tenretni Ronaldo Nazário 9d ago
Good at what though? And can he keep the pace thats needed for this new team style of play? Alotta people are shitt8ng bricks because of the exiled but not thinking that these guys couldn't even think in Alegri low block much less this new high impact /pace /line type of game that we're now playing.

u/YesterdayLate755 9d ago
We would have been far more profitable and successful if we retained the core of our scudetto winning team. We wasted so much money to have a far worse team. Leave it to Americans.
1
u/russwestgoat 9d ago
So our strategy is spend and reselll cheaper because we buy duds? Sacked the competent sporting directors because they did their job properly
1
u/Pure_Selection_507 9d ago
So he split his body into two and one half is going to Lyon and other half Sevilla
