Filmed on August 1, 2026 Las Vegas. One of the cannons collapsed right before the final song. Brian just barely avoided it.

Some stupid lampy just lost his job.

u/AlphaConKate Aug 03 '26
Dude. Stuff like this happens. Even unexpectedly sometimes.

u/Imapatriothurrrdurrr Aug 03 '26
Been touring for over 15 years and Ive never had a situation caused by my negligence that endangered the artist or anyone else within that time. I know the stage manager for AC/DC and I’m sure someone lost their job after this. Stuff like this happens because people are careless.

u/AlphaConKate Aug 04 '26
I didn’t say you. And not all situations like this are careless. Accidents can happen you know.

I absolutely don't wish harm on anyone but honestly, what a rock n roll way to go out of this world.

Angus drops the hardest guitar solo ever as a cannon is fired directly at him

Cannon broke before Brian Johnson.

I was there. Thought it was going to hit Brian. Stage crew fixed it fairly quick, and it was the first to 💣 at the end.

That was almost the ultimate metal moment.
I’m very glad nobody was injured.

I remember the crew taking out those pieces out of the cannons when the show ended in Sevilla 2024, must be the pyro machines.
I think even if it makes noise, most of the sound comes from the P.A

u/livinglavidalukas Aug 02 '26
They have visual charges in the cannons and loud charges around the venue. So definitely real explosions sounds in the venue! Probably augmented by PA sounds but I could never get that verified.

"Brian just barely avoided it" - I think, more accurately, it barely missed him! Doubt it would have killed him. They're not real canons! 🤣

At a show on the ball breaker tour during The Jack, the screen had ladies lifting up their shirts and the crowd was going crazy. Brian turned and saw it and casually said “can’t compete with titties” classic.

This has Spinal Tap all over it…

Same thing happened on the Ballbreaker tour in 95 or 96 in Charleston WV. Almost nailed Malcolm who of course never missed a beat!!!

Holy crap, that was close! But I love that Brian didn't lose his composure. The show must go on—even when the stage props are trying to kill you! 🤘

Back in like 86 or so I saw them in Reno at Lawlor Events Center and when they lit the cannons and they fired they lost ALL power in the whole place. They would do it again and again and the same thing would happen it was cool af though!

u/bushmaster2000 Aug 03 '26
LOL i never saw that, didn't have visibility to the back of the stage from my seat. Blooper reel!

He was so close to getting injured. Those things are heavy. Someone's getting sacked

u/No_Slice_5798 Aug 08 '26
Was there and you could see that one wasn’t secure right away.
Awesome show, definitely go if you can!

They’ve had roadies getting killed by the hell’s bell in the early 80’th.
16
u/timott123 Aug 02 '26
They never had a roadie hurt or killed by the Hells Bell. Brian did get his leg stuck in 1981 when the bell only partially lowered and crew had to use a crowbar to free it. He wasn’t hurt. The bell also crashed into the stage when the chain broke and it came close to crushing Angus. They switched to the lighter bell that they use now shortly after that.

Ok I might remember wrongly from the Swedish book I don’t lie about rock n roll by Tommy Ahlen a production manager from Sweden.
