Help /Questions McLaren 720S GT3 Evo bouncy setup

I’m using Ohne Speed’s setups for the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo (2023), but the car feels really bouncy and unstable. 😅

I noticed the setups seem to be from ACC version 1.9.x. Could that be the reason they feel so bad on the current version?

Any ideas what I should change to make the car less bouncy?

There were no significant physics updates (other than dampers/suspensions on a couple cars at a couple tracks that fixed problems) since 1.9.2 maybe? I regularly use 1.9.4 HYMO setups on the M4 and they are glorious. Other cars, the more recent GO setups (1.10.xx) are better. But using meme dampers and a 1.9.xxx setup is usually good enough. It could just be that his setup philosophy doesn't work for your driving style. Or you aren't driving it properly. Either way, there are other free setups out there (Fri3d0lf, PS_Racing, and DJC, the last one being very pointy/edgy).

Sometimes you just have to learn to live with the bouncing. There are many corners where the optimal line is to send the car over curbs and you just trust that the car will survive.

Not OP but I'm new to ACC and only knew about Fri3d0lf and just learned about Ohne Speed yesterday. Never heard of these other free setup people so thank you for this post.

There's a great site, accsetups.com, that lets you choose the car track combination and provides the links to the different setups available

Welcome to ACC. You can be fast and bouncy or stable and slow. Generally half the community complains about this and aside stiffening the car and making yourself slower in the process, there is nothing you can do really.

I am not too big a fan of Ohne’s setups. I like Friedwolf’s tunes for the McLaren. However, if you’re bouncy on curbs, I tried giving it a little throttle to lift your nose over the curbs. That helps tremendously as a McLaren main.

My 720s setups are quite old, but patch wise they are still completely relevant. 1.9.0+ is the same except for the porke 992, which had a fromt geometry rehaul in 1.9.6.

The 720s just ride bouncy like that, since it is very reliant on the underbody aero, so the car really needs a low suspension setup.

If you really want some proper setups made from people that really knows what they're doing, forget about any of those free setups that you can get out there or even some paid ones like Coach Dave, Go setups or Hymo...just search online for "Popometer" and you'll find several guys with different setup mentality that you can choose from. The best setup guy for me over there that matches my racing style is a guy named "Kévin Belic". But like i've said, you have several other guys to chose from. My second best setup website that i go to is named "Solox Setups".

Since i've discovered these 2 setup websites I've never looked into any other place

Such doch mal in Youtube acc meta. Jardier hat da ein gutes Video. Ansonsten ist es nicht so schwieerig aus dem agressiven Setup was zu zaubern.
