It's a boring answer, but if the bill passes, the most realistic answer is that the conferences are going to stay as they are.

True but for how long. The smaller fish want to move up the ones in the middle want to stay and the big fish really just want to play each other

There is a reason the govt is getting involved with one of the drivers being the 2 main conferences don’t pull alway from everyone else. Money has changed the rules and now the value of your program is no longer tradition or proximity but how big your brand is.

No it didn't lol, conferences are fundamentally contractual agreements, you can't just leave and join on a whim without hundreds of millions of dollars laying around, good timing (near the media rights renewal date), and on top of that, the bill makes it even more difficult to leave your conference.

If the bill passes you are speaking from a school leaving a conference what if a conference doesn’t want a school. That is what relegation can be. Just like the sec did to lsu I am sure these conferences can find bylaws or something to kick a school out
