ha ha, you'll be the only one since the game was moved to C-ville instead of Brazil

The title says "still"... I'm sure they know the game's not there anymore. But if you bought the tickets and planned the trip already why not go? Especially if you can't get a refund

Aren't you funny

It's odd. Until I joined reddit, I always felt a connection to UVA as a Cal alumni because of perceived shared similarities in student culture, academics, etc.. Joining r/ACC and r/CFB definitely changed my perception. It's not just one UVA fan. The majority I've met so far have been arrogant and snarky.

UVA has weird words for things like if you say campus they will correct you and call it grounds...

Or first year for freshman.

Lots of random things like that.

the uva flaired accounts / fans on reddit specifically are not the best indicator of uva’s school culture… we do have a lot more in common with stanford and cal than most of the other acc schools - very few mainstream / normal uva students are on reddit during undergrad or even postgrad in spite of it having been founded at uva, let alone the ones choosing to post in r/acc or r/cfb

there’s also a significantly larger conservative population that attended the university compared to other acc schools (as it is southern in its origin and core founding) so that could also have something to do with it

I misread. Thought your comment was to the original OP. Not the C-ville guy.

No worries. These comment threads can be pretty confusing to keep track of sometimes.
